First things first, credit where credit is due. This deck is heavily inspired by Derpsofdoom and his deck The Ur-Dragon Initiative. My deck is very similar to his, with some meta changes, as well as just a few cards I wanted to try out. If you like this deck, be sure to check out his version. Nonetheless, onto the actual description. This deck is an insanely aggressive, consistent, and powerful dragon deck. It ramps hard and punches harder, and will quickly paint a political target on your back. The ur-dragon was my first commander, so he is near and dear to me, and deserves the best deck possible. This deck has a strong mix of removal, draw engines, ramp, and fixing, which makes it nuts to play against. I’m very open to new card ideas, as I am always looking for ways to make it better, but I do ask that you explain why. I’ve done a lot of playing and tuning, so the cards have earned their spots in the list.

Massive Changes — April 10, 2018

I haven't updated this deck in awhile online, but it has gone through some big changes since I last posted anything about it. I've swapped out a total of 21 non-land cards, 25 if you count lands, and it has had a huge impact on the deck. Cards I Took Out: Narset Transcendent, Garruk, Apex Predator, Tezzeret, Master of Metal, Propaganda, Frontier Siege, Stifle, Fog, Disenchant, Whispersilk Cloak, Herald's Horn, Door to Nothingness, Deathbringer Regent, Dragonmaster Outcast, Dragonspeaker Shaman, Hellkite Charger, Ryusei, the Falling Star, Rishkar's Expertise, Profound Journey, Fractured Identity, and Decimate. Most of these cards were either random cards I had laying around, removal, ramp, recursion, or draw cards. All of them have been replaced with cards that did what they did but better. Cards I Added: Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, Dragonlord Ojutai, Aggravated Assault, Ojutai, Soul of Winter, Wasitora, Nekoru Queen, Dragon Tempest, Diabolic Tutor, Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh, Dispel, Deathrite Shaman, Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury, Sylvan Caryatid, Negate, Shaman of Forgotten Ways, Elemental Bond, Anguished Unmaking, Savage Ventmaw, Birds of Paradise, Dragonlord Kolaghan, Warstorm Surge, Patriarch's Bidding. Like I said before, these cards were just better versions of cards previously in the deck.
