The whole goal is large creatures from +1/+1 counters that could also give you an easy win with Simic Ascendancy. Since all the creatures will have counters on them, Sapphire Drake gives them flying (woot). The nice Bioshift + Branching Evolution stacks nicely with free extra counters being doubled on, too.
