I've had a werewolf deck since Innistrad. With the SOI block, now there are enough werewolves to make a Commander deck, so of course, I had to try it out. The deck plays one of nearly every flip-werewolf (I'm only missing a handful from INN and DKA).
Lacking any actual legendary werewolves, Ruric Thar was an effective commander for the deck, but he tended to be hated out by other players. Now that I have Samut, I've moved him into the deck instead. Ulrich was a very disappointing card to command the deck with. He's a good werewolf in the deck, sure, but was a very unexciting commander. Once Samut was revealed I very excitedly put her in charge, and have been quite happy with it.

  • MIDNIGHT HUNT / CRIMSON VOW UPDATE * Yay! Tovolar himself has his own card now, and he makes a much better commander than Ulrich! Here's my first pass at integrating the new MID/VOW werewolves into the deck, along with a few other cards I've picked up since the SOI block.
