Okay, so I haven't had much time to do any updates to my Commander deck. Real life happens, I guess. Anyway, there are a number of cards I've been thinking about adding to this deck. I felt the deck needed some more bombs as well as additional ramping options.

So Gelatinous Geniesis, while flavorful and a great mana dump, really wasn't passing the mustard. Hydra Broodmaster, however, can vomit out hydra tokens after becoming monstrous. The XXG cost boosts the Broodmaster AND creates tokens for the same cost as Gelatinous Genesis.

Since I had not altered this deck since the removal of the Banned as Commander category of cards on the banned list, I sadly had to take out Rofellos. He was a great asset to my other 99, but I want this deck to be playable in essentially any casual game group. Nissa Workwaker, seemed like a good choice because she could untap four forests when coming into play, essentially making her cast only G when she comes into play. While not as powerful as Rofellos this boost of mana is nothing to sneeze at. Her limit breaker ability is a one-sided New Frontiers with the added bonus of making them 4/4 Elementals. Yes, the lands now have summoning sickness when they come into play. But that's a whole mess of bodies standing in the way. I'm toying with the idea of putting Concordant Crossroads in the deck to take advantage of this card. Yes it grants all creatures haste, but it's the only mono-green card that grants haste that I can recall off the top of my head.

The last change was to add Kozilek, Butcher of Truth. Unlike some decks that include Kozilek or Ulamog to prevent milling, you actually want to cast him. With the mana acceleration, he should come down rather quickly. It makes me giddy like a school girl when I plop down a 12/12 creature with Annihilator: 4 and nets me a 4 card draw. When I was making a spot for him in the deck, it was difficult to pick what got cut. Spearbreaker Behemoth got the axe simply because I never used it's ability to grant Indestructibility to other 5+ power creatures.
