This is a White/Black (Orzhov) Midrange Deck. Ive reached Platinum with this deck in Traditional Standard. Going to go higher....
This is my own personal creation. It is a very grindy deck with a lot of lifegain.
It has card advantage in the form of
Dawn of Hope
and also
Liliana, Dreadhorde General
,
Ugin, the Ineffable
,
Clackbridge Troll
, and
Castle Locthwain
.
It does well against aggro or midrange decks, except Golos Field decks are a weakness because of the lack of interaction against Field of the Dead lands. Simic Flash can be a pain as well because of all the countermagic. This is a best of 3 deck NOT a best of 1 deck. The sideboard strengthens certain matchups.
Basilica Bell-Haunt
for life gain and discard. 3/4 body makes a good blocker or attacker.
Charming Prince
has proven to be very versatile. you can gain 3 life in a pinch, scry 2 to fix your draws, or even flicker a Bell Haunt or a Cavalier to retrigger the ETB effect. plus its a 2/2 body to attack or block with.
Cavalier of Dawn
is a monster. this kills ANY nonland permanent. yes it can give your opponent a 3/3 golem token but that is a very small negative for the most flexible removal attached to a 4/6 vigilance body. PLUS when it dies you can get back an enchantment or artifact. Which we have 9 targets to potentially get back. Dawn of Hope, oath of kaya, glass casket, or prison realm. You can even destroy your own permanents to create a 3/3 for yourself. This card is so versatile and powerful. Vigilance so it plays offense and defense.
Murderous Rider
this has become a standard staple in every black deck. 3 mana removal for creatures or planeswalkers attached to a 2/3 lifelink body. Enough Said.
Clackbridge Troll
this card puts an extreme amount of pressure on the opponent. Yes it gives them 3 goat tokens that are 0/1's. it is an 8/8 trample haste monster. They can choose to sacrifice a creature to tap the Troll, but if they do you gain 3 life and draw a card. If they dont you can crash in with an 8/8 trampler. This thing closes games extremely quickly. In most cases it just becomes a life gain and card draw engine, combined with dawn of hope triggers as well.
Kenrith, the Returned King
this card is amazing. it has all 5 colors potentially on it. for us we can either gain 5 life for 3 mana, or pay 5 mana to return a creature for our graveyard to the battlefield at INSTANT speed. you can return a basilica bellhaunt in their draw step or return a cavalier of dawn, or even a clackbridge troll. Against aggro decks, the 5 life gain will shut them down. He is a must answer threat. and even on his own he is a 5/5, nothing to scoff at.
Liliana, Dreadhorde General
liliana has been around awhile and she is proven to be a very good card. she provides 2/2 zombie tokens and card advantage, also has a downtick to sac 2 creatures. Her ultimate is an instant Game Ender.
Ugin, the Ineffable
Ugin is a beast card engine token generator but also a good removal for any nonland colored permanent. Very versatile and powerful late game bomb.
