Enchantment (1)

Eldrazi are inter dimensional devours that consume and pervert all that we understand. To fit that flavour I believe an eldrazi deck demands major sacrifices and major power. I utilise a balance of cards that don't mind being sacrificed, other cards that make sacrificing even more palatable, and big emerge cards that allow said sacrifices to happen and payoff even further. This beside a few supplementary cards to keep it all together makes one of my most fun and versatile decks decks.

For cards that don't mind being sacrificed i use Foul Emissary,Gamekeeper,Nest Invader, and Kozilek's Predator. These all have their unique purposes. Foul Emissary obviously gives me a bit of control over what is coming to my hand and gives me a nice extra 3/2 to leave on the battlefield that can easily support the Decimator of Provinces or the Voldaren Pariah  . Gamekeeper is a great way to go potentially scoring me a free Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger at best or a Zulaport Cutthroat at worst. the Kozilek's Predator + Nest Invader give nice mana ramp, sacrifice fodder for other cards and they themselves don't mind being knocked off to a bigger emerge creature or an Eldritch Evolution in a pinch.

The cards that help the potency of my sacrificing are Zulaport Cutthroat, Smothering Abomination, and Catacomb Sifter. the Zulaport Cutthroat is a good low cost drop that can have game changing power if I wind up with a token heavy hand, but also is an extra black mana symbol for the emerge cost on Distended Mindbender if needed. Smothering Abomination provides a bit of card advantage and flying support. Catacomb Sifter get that sweet scry power going and also provides more tokens to mana ramp and sacrifice, win win.

The power and control of the deck comes from the big eldrazi monsters it runs. Distended Mindbender, Elder Deep-Fiend and Lashweed Lurker all work hard to allow you to perform those big sacrifices, disrupt your opponents field fairly harshly and bring a minimum of 5/5 swinging power to the table. They also have the added benefit of being one Eldritch Evolution away from the even bigger threats Decimator of Provinces, Artisan of Kozilek and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger. With all the token creation it is not unlikely for this deck to have 4 or five creatures on the battlefield when you land a Decimator of Provinces this has in my experience typically ended the game in its track. The Artisan of Kozilek is great to bring back some of your sacrificed creatures and bring plenty of it's own power on it's own. Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger is an obvious beast that will turn end the game three turns from the moment it's dropped, it also synergieses hilariously with oblivion seeker giving you all the mana you will need to work with for the remainder of the game, if you can pull it off.

The supplementary cards include oblivion seeker, Voldaren Pariah  , All Is Dust, Eldritch Evolution. The oblivion seeker bring an interesting mana boost to your game and synergises well with Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger. Voldaren Pariah   gives a way to sacrifice creatures in a pinch if you absolutely need to weaken an opponents battlefield. All Is Dust is a no brainer field sweep that just works amazingly with all the colourless creatures. eldritch evilution again is a a no brainer as it allows for some very serious ramping.

the land choices are fairly self-explanitory Eldrazi Temple is straight up amazing. the Golgari Rot Farm,Simic Growth Chamber both allow for a bit of extra mana advantage per number of cards drawn which is important when the mana curve of a deck looks as wacky as this ones (not to mention, they won't break my bank)). Opulent Palace is a fairly obvious choice for this 3 colour deck.

So that is the long and short of my Attempt at an eldrazi deck. I would love to hear any thought, comments, or recommendations. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
