This Kykar deck is distinctly not cEDH, but the more casual version of the competitive deck. I built this right after Kykar was spoiled. The mana base is not upgraded at all and is just lands I had lying around. I definitely plan on upgrading it soon with fetches and fast mana. This Kykar deck is inspired by the typical Feather, the Redeemed deck by using tons of one mana red cantrips. With Kykar out, these are free spells! Hold them in your hand until you have an Aetherflux Reservoir so you can build that storm count while not expending resources. Here are the primary lines I have built into the deck.
With Kykar out:
- Casting tons of one mana red cantrips while you have an Aetherflux Reservoir and/or a Guttersnipe out.
- Cast tons of one mana red cantrips with a Mana Echoes out and kill your opponents with a big heckin' Jaya's Immolating Inferno or do the classic Blue Sun's Zenith + Laboratory Maniac trick.
- Elsha of the Infinite + Sensei's Divining Top and Aetherflux Reservoir + Kykar, Wind's Fury grants you infinite storm count to gain infinite life with Aetherflux that you can use to zap your opponents. Alternatively, you can also use Future Sight instead of Elsha, but Elsha allows you to do the combo at instant speed.
No Kykar Out:
- With Ral, Storm Conduit out, cast an instant or sorcery, then use Expansion / Explosion + Increasing Vengeance to create and infinite copy loop and zap your opponents.
