Grand Theft Creature

Our main gameplan is to steal creatures. Once we've "temporarily borrowed" a creature, there are two things we can do. We can convert them to our side permanently with Bazaar Trader, Conjurer's Closet, and Thassa, Deep-Dwelling. Or, we can use our enemy's own forces against them by attacking with the creature, then we can sacrifice it for the greater good to one of our many sac outlets.

The original version of this deck had many single-use Threaten/Act of Treason effects, including some upgrades in Kari Zev's Expertise, Traitorous Greed, and Mark of Mutiny. However, we already have a 3-mana threaten effect in the command zone, and these cards just didn't add enough value to the deck. I've opted to replace these with either repeatable effects (Callous Oppressor, Dominus of Fealty, Chamber of Manipulation, etc.) or similar effects stapled onto creatures (Coercive Recruiter, Zealous Conscripts) since we can also sacrifice/flicker them.

Here are some highlights I don't see very often in other Yasova decks:

Blade of the Bloodchief: Yasova isn't even a vampire, but this card is still cracked. In a multiplayer game, creatures will be dying all the time, plus you should be sacrificing at least one creature a turn. For only two mana, this little equipment will keep pumping our commander and ensure that almost every creature on the battlefield is within reach of her ability. Blackblade Reforged ain't got shit on this.

Callous Oppressor: Probably the best Helm of Possession-type effect in this deck. Even though it doesn't give the stolen creatures haste, it steals them for free, and we can wait until our opponents' turns to sack them for value. Plus, it gives us the option to keep the creature around for a bit if we really like it. While the creature-type etb is meant as a downside, it adds a nice political touch by sparing one of our opponents (and then using a different card to steal their creatures).

Food Chain: Yes, everyone hates this card. Yes, when you drop this onto the battlefield all your opponents will groan and if any of them topdeck enchantment removal this is probably going to be the first one they get rid of. No, there are no Food Chain infinite combos in this deck. Whenever you play this, you should make it clear that you have no infinite combos with it else you will immediately become public enemy #1. That said, even without the combo this card is absolutely bonkers in this deck and enables a lot of explosive plays.

Breath of Fury: We care about sacrificing creatures. And we care about combat steps. What's not to like? Stuff gets crazy fast when combined with one of the to steal creatures (like Callous Oppressor).

Backup combos: (Note that every card in the combo is useful to the deck by itself, so no Squee, the Immortal)

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts = infinite hasty 3/3s

Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Coercive Recruiter = infinite hasty 4/3s, steal every targetable creature

Prime Speaker Vannifar + 4-drop = infinite mana, infinite tokens, steal every targetable creature (Sacrifice the four drop to Vannifar and tutor Coercive Recruiter, untap Vannifar, then take any other creature you control with cmc 1-4 and sacrifice them to Vanny with the sequence being Dockside Extortionist, Protean Raider, Captivating Crew, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker (the line used to use Hullbreacher before it was banned) - if Coercive Recruiter is unavailable and you have two 4-drops, tutor Zealous Conscripts and then Kiki)

Birthing Pod + two 4-drops = slower version of the above

Callous Oppressor + Breath of Fury = repeatable combat steps and creature "borrowing" (removal) as long as your opponents have targetable creatures, only works if you can get combat damage

Yasova Dragonclaw + Breath of Fury + mana dorks that tap for at least (e.g. Bloom Tender) = worse version of the above

Seasinger + Breath of Fury = repeatable combat steps and creature steals as long as opponents with islands have targetable creatures

Willow Satyr + Breath of Fury = repeatable combat steps and legendary creature steals as long as your opponents have targetable legendary creatures

Considering cutting: Stalking Vengeance, Thermopod, Culling Dais, Bloodshot Cyclops, Spreading Insurrection
