My first commander deck.

My strategy with this deck, is just to do crazy things.

Rise of the Dark Realms is just really really silly. I won with the most ridiculous number of creatures on the battlefield with this card.

Decree of Pain cost me a game. An opponent cloned Avenger of Zendikar then copied the clone and put down a bizzillion tokens. When they all died, I drew my entire deck! But I didn't mind losing, it was so funny, and I took him out with Mind Grind before I died. Where's Elixir of Immortality? Now it's in the deck.

Recently I was playing with a two more experienced players in a pub and my life total was in single digits. I was looking a bit screwed, but I had a ton of good cards that Jace Beleren had given me before he died. RIP Jace. I had a 24/24 Nighthowler on the field, slapped a Mark of the Vampire on that howling fox thing, and attacked just to stay alive. My other opponent had Sphere of Safety and way too many enchantments. I gave up trying to count them all. I played Bonehoard and Sewer Nemesis as a 34/34. Then next turn Altar of Dementia. Mwhaha! I sacrificed Nighthowler and Bonehoard milling my first opponent for 49 and making Sewer Nemesis a 73/73! Then I sacrificed Sewer Nemesis and turned to mill my other opponent. Victory was mine.
