An uninspired mind might look at Nesting Grounds and think "ahh, a way to shuffle +1/+1 counters around my creatures."

A more devious mind might consider "ooh, a way for one planeswalker to help another to hurry to its Ultimate!"

But it takes a real nutjob, however, to notice that it allows you to move any counter from any permanent to any other permanent. So yeah, you can shuffle your Boot Nipper's Deathtouch counter to another creature, but why limit yourself? Put the Deathtouch counter on Caltrops and combat will be completely locked down. Bump one over to Staff of Nin and you can pick off a creature every turn for free. Opponent packing artifact removal? No sweat, a hexproof counter or indestructibility counter can slide on over and protect your key cards.

Once the board is locked down, Sorin Markov can knock your opponent's life down at your leisure. Until then, of course, a deathtouch counter on him will make removal a breeze, and a lifelink counter will do wonders for your survivability. Young Wolf can chump block every turn while you're getting set up so long as you use Nesting Grounds to shuffle his +1/+1 counter to another creature - or even your Crawling Barrens if you're crafty. Don't forget that while the Grounds have to remove a counter from one of your permanents, you don't need to control the recipient, meaning a Putrid Goblin or Lesser Masticore could generously pawn off their -1/-1 counter to your opponent's creatures each turn!
