Why Belbe?

I've been working on the 27 deck challenge (all color combinations excluding the 4c commander's because they're boring), and I've been making sure I enjoy all the commanders that I build. I watched a couple of gameplay videos from Game Knights and I Hate Your Deck featuring decks helmed by Belbe, and she was extremely explosive! Being able to drop threats like Bane of Bala Ged turn three is super fun and very much embodies the spirit of Commander/EDH.

The Game Plan

The primary goal of this deck is to ideally ramp out large cards super quickly with "bad" pingers like Pulse Tracker by turn two. Here's the ideal line:

• T1: Pulse Tracker/Vicious Conquistador effect.

• T2: Belbe, Corrupted Observer, attack, and then floating {C}{C}{C}{C}{C}{C}, drop a colorless bomb

• T3: Keep dropping threats

The large threats, or "big bois," combined with the life loss of everything, will eventually wear down the opponent.

Will You Like?

• You might like this deck if: You enjoy Timmy-smashing your enemies, and unconventional ways of ramping out threats.

• You might NOT like this deck if: You're more into combo decks, or less risky/commander-centric decks.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• Strengths: Brings down large threats hard and early, can go off if left unchecked.

• Weaknesses: Sometimes you won't draw into the right combinations of cards. Other opponents can make use of Belbe's ability and the deck can definitely struggle without her if she gets removed enough times.

Backup Plan

Luckily, being in green allows for lots of ramp, so I included a good amount of ramp so the deck isn't entirely dependent on Belbe for ramping out huge threats.

Notable Ommissions

• Stax: Belbe can be a stax juggernaut, if the deck wasn't so inconsistent in testing. I tried building a stax list but I found drawing into multiple stax pieces was rare and I wanted to focus on a more consistent strategy of pumping out a single large threat.

• Hulk Combo: Just felt a bit boring going for the same hulk lines every time. Again, I felt like building Belbe as a high-powered deck wasn't in my best interest.
