$75 mono Green EDH Shell [Primer]

Commander / EDH* Budget Combo Devotion Elves Mono-Green

RNR_Gaming

This is a focused shell on a budget; you'll be able to slot any green ledgendary as your commander and do fairly well against high power and focused decks. This shell is for people just getting into the format but can be useful to those with a tad bit more experience aswell. This shell will not contain any ledgendary creatures and can be easily upgraded for a tad more cash.

Nature's Claim - the most efficient way to get rid of artifacts and enchantments; your opponent gaining 4 life will almost always be irrelevant in a commander game

Beast Within - removal that breaks the color pie; this is an answer all in green for 3 mana. Sure, the downside is the opponent gets a 3/3 but a 3/3 is way less dangerous than a planeswalker about to Ultimate.

Wrap in Vigor - not as good as Heroic Intervention but can definitely help protect your board or an individual creature from mass removal

Fresh Meat - this is an excellent way to punish people who board wipe and sometimes it makes your board even scarier than it originally was

Squall Line - is an excellent way to finish off your opponents if you're able to produce tons of mana; just be careful not to take yourself out

Reclaim - a great way to get back something you need; Noxious Revival is the upgrade to this because it can target cards in any graveyard

Lignify - a great way to shut down decks that rely on their commander; it's a downgrade of Song of the Dryads . Mainly, because they can still use the commander as a chump blocker and easily get it back into the command zone

Wild Growth - an excellent way to ramp; basically, a Llanowar Elves on an enchantment.

Elvish Guidance - this turns a land into Elvish Archdruid which creates loads of mana

Abundance - helps filter draws and helps to prevent mana flood and mana screw; get what you everytime.

Seal of Primordium - telegraphed artifact and enchantment removal; can be used politically

Ramp artifacts

Sol Ring

Moss Diamond

Prismatic Lens

Fractured Powerstone

Mind Stone

Utility Artifacts

Staff of Nin - decent card draw and the perfect way to ping off opposing dorks

Mimic Vat - you can imprint your own creature or your opponents; you can prevent something nasty from going to graveyard, this is especially annoying to reanimator decks or you could just simple want to get an etb of a cool creature over and over

Transmogrifying Wand - 3 activations that swap an opponents creature for a 2/4 ox; basically, use this on scary creatures or to keep certain commanders in check. Also, a political card, you can make deals with people to not blow up their bomb in exchange for not attacking you.

Lifecrafter's Bestiary - scry every turn and occasional card draw

Regrowth - Eternal Witness on a sorcery

Skyshroud Claim - ramp that allows you to do something after you play it

Shamanic Revelation - a pretty good hand reload when you're ahead but it has a very low floor; basically, if you have no creatures on the feild this is a dead card

Collective Unconscious - same idea as Shamanic Revelation

Seasons Past - one of the more expensive cards on this list but it's definitely worth it; this card is one of the best recursion spells in the format.

Ramp Creatures

Elvish Mystic

Llanowar Elves

Arbor Elf

Priest of Titania

Llanowar Tribe

Fyndhorn Elves

Boreal Druid

Wood Elves

Elvish Rejuvenator

Karametra's Acolyte

Sakura-Tribe Scout

Skyshroud Ranger

Card Draw

Beast Whisperer

Soul of the Harvest

Regal Force

Primordial Sage

Runic Armasaur

Elvish Visionary

Utility Creatures

Caustic Caterpillar - a very annoying bug for artifacts and enchantments

Viridian Zealot - elf version of Caustic Caterpillar

Wirewood Symbiote - can be used prospectively and counter actively. You can prevent an elf from being destroyed from your hand or you can use this to make combat tricky or in some cases produce a ton of mana when used in conjunction with Priest of Titania

Eternal Witness - one of the few more expensive cards on this list but it's GOOD almost every deck running green will have this card in their deck. Recurring anything and it provides a 2/1 body; an excellent addition to any deck running green

Acidic Slime - versatile non-creature removal tacked onto a 2/2 death touch is a bargain for 5 mana

Reclamation Sage - 3 mana artifact or enchantment destruction on a 2/1 body with a highly relevant creature type

Manglehorn - 3 mana artifact destruction on a 2/1 body that acts as a soft stax piece

Fierce Empath - tutors for our top end creatures.

Somberwald Stag - a fight moose

Kraul Harpooner - bug that kills pesky flyers

Ulvenwald Tracker - let's you fight your creatures with your opponents creatures

Greenwarden of Murasa - 6 mana elemental Eternal Witness

Soul of New Phyrexia - provides excellent protection and looks bad ass

Silklash Spider - kills pesky flyers with ease

Temur Sabertooth - is a budget Cloudstone Curio and is the main enabler for all the infinite combos in this deck; it also is good outside of combing because it can protect our creatures and it allows us to replay our creatures with ETB abilities

Terastondon - great way to get rid of non creature permanents with the reasonable exchange of giving our opponents 3/3s

End-Raze Forerunners - budget Craterhoof Behemoth

Hornet Queen - a flexible card; deters opponents from attacking us but also provides pressure in the air

Duplicant - coloress creature removal on a creature

Great Oak Guardian - flash, with a buff and creature untap makes combat very tricky for opponents

For the most part the lands will be basic; with the exception of Reliquary Tower and the ramp lands

Ramp Lands

Myriad Landscape

Blighted Woodland

Cards needed

Priest of Titania + 3 other Elves on the battlefield or more; or Karametra's Acolyte + 4 or more devotion

Wirewood Symbiote

Temur Sabertooth

Elvish Visionary ; also works with a 1 mana creature and any card like Beast Whisperer

Step by Step

Have all those cards on the battlefield and be able to activate the creature that can make 4+ mana

1) Activate the mana producer; get 4+ mana

2) Activate Wirewood Symbiote ; return Elvish Visionary untap the mana producer and tap again floating more mana

3) Activate Temur Sabertooth and return Wirewood Symbiote

4) replay Wirewood Symbiote and Elvish Visionary

5) Rinse and repeat those steps and you have unbound mana and unbound card draw =D

You can kill everyone with Squall Line or pump your team for leathal with End-Raze Forerunners
