This deck is made specifically for a format at my local card shop where it's the same as regular EDH but every card over $2 (according to the lowest TCGPlayer median price) is banned aside from the general who is allowed to be up to $5.

If you're not interested in playing in this format, use this deck as a skeleton to find some really good, fun, and cheap cards to throw into your deck and improve it with more expensive cards that do a better job.

***IMPORTANT***

Welcome to my Lyzolda, The Blood Witch deck! I had originally made a theorycrafted version of her deck with a lot of creatures that abuse ETB and LTB effects but the combination of the high mana costs and low reward for sacrificing them made it a pretty subpar deck. So from that deck I sought to fix the 3 main problems:

1) Needed a much lower curve

2) Needed enough creatures to sacrifice to make Lyzolda worth using

3) Needed to have a good amount of card draw as well so I don't run out of steam playing my whole hand on turn 3

What was the solution? Goblins of course!

This deck revolves around drawing as many goblins as possible, throwing them on the board and attacking your opponent with them whenever possible. If they are going to be blocked or destroyed then sacrifice them to Lyzolda, Phyrexian Altar , Goblin Bombardment , Goblin Warrens , Goblin Chirurgeon , Skirk Prospector , or Siege-Gang Commander .

The sacrifice will not only prevent the satisfaction your opponent receives by destroying your creatures, but should benefit you with either card advantage, direct damage, regeneration, or mana!

All the while you're increasing all of these benefits through helpful artifacts and enchantments such as Vicious Shadows , Dictate of Erebos , Skullclamp , and many other great cards that Rakdos has access to.

This deck is primarily a burn deck with a big emphasis on control as well. Every time you sacrifice a card you should be netting a couple of cards drawn into your hand, a decent chunk of damage to their face, or clearing a few of your opponent's creatures.
