Sept 11th, 2022: Added Leyline Binding over March of Otherworldly Light, tweaked a land into black mana for the 5th color. Re-added Omen of the Sea for consistency. The goal is to have as streamlined of a g1 as possible, as UWx isn't a t1 deck in this format, and needs to have as much consistency and versatility as it can get in executing the primary gameplan.
July 7th, 2022: Obtained a 4th Mystic Gate. Cutting down on some creatures overall and fitting in two Nimble Obstructionist as a modal cycling Stifle or extra Flash Flying body. Adjusting the sideboard a bit but nothing wild. Considering Flusterstorm over Mystical Dispute but that depends on local meta. Almost considering bringing back Omen of the Sea. Congrats to Morde on 5th in the July 2nd Modern Challenge, and to Oscar Franco for 16th in the June 19th Modern Challenge.
Apr 20th, 2022: Maindeck Chalice of the Void definitely the way to go with the current meta. Added more control elements with 2x Teferi, Hero of Dominaria in place of one Vendilion Clique and one Supreme Verdict, moving the copy of the latter into the board with the 4th Dovin's Veto. Ephemerate comes back out, as much as I'd love to have it, its codependency with other cards in the deck in a Yorion build makes it unreliable.
Apr 7th, 2022: With Murktide Regent, Colossus Hammer, Crashing Footfalls, and Living End decks being so predominant in the current meta, bringing back some Chalice of the Void should be helpful. I'm keeping them in the side for now to swap out with Ephemerate but they may move back to the mainboard depending on how things go.
Mar 11th, 2022: Trying out Spell Queller over Force of Negation for now. Congrats to Lexmart (Alex Martorell) for his 5-0 trophy with Blink!
Mar 3rd, 2022: Diversifying removal with 3x March of Otherworldly Light over Fire / Ice, trimming both Steam Vents and a fetch for Otawara, Soaring City, Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire, and a third Mystic Gate. Ephemerate over Chalice of the Void providing huge value off the blink package help balance out March being down on resource value. Adding The Wandering Emperor for some added versatility and value.
Feb 3rd, 2022: Testing a set of Fire / Ice over Omen of the Sea for now. Omen is the weakest card in the list in a vacuum, serving as consistency glue and Yorion, Sky Nomad value. This swap adds more versatility and tempo. Ice cantrips and speedbumps, while Fire is flexible removal for cards like Tourach, Dread Cantor on the stack, Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, Dragon's Rage Channeler, and Esper Sentinel. Field of Ruin is benched for being too slow in the current meta, replaced with two more fetches and two Steam Vents to support the Fire / Ice splash (the second Vents to hedge against Boseiju, Who Endures shenanigans). The Breeding Pool over the 5th Island stays in as emergency 4c Prismatic Ending against Omnath, Locus of Creation or Jace, the Mind Sculptor.
