Have you ever wanted to be a complete dick to your friends? Do you enjoy setting your opponents up for decisive blows and dealing enormous amounts of damage? Do you like Ugin, the Spirit Dragon on turn 5? If you said yes to any of these questions, this is the deck for you. Dash Hopes + Vexing Devil present early game conundrums that can see life totals drop fast, with Extirpate + Thieves' Guild Enforcer here to remove problematic combo pieces. Lotus Bloom is here for burst mana to cheat out Ugin, the Ineffable + Ugin, the Spirit Dragon as early as turn four or five. While the Spirit Dragon will certainly be your main focus, versatility is the name of the game here. Counters are aplenty so be mindful of what you want to have countered, a stray Negate may lead to a quick grave. Save your creatures if you can help it but be aggressive to control the field with creatures like Lightning Skelemental and Egon, God of Death  . Mazemind Tome + Rakdos Signet help fill your hand and Lightning Bolt can zap the field or some life. The main appeal however is the artifacts such as Embercleave + Shadowspear , and the swords. Early game will either consist of artifact procurement and mana ramping, or be creature focused and aggressive with hand control. However once set up, creatures can become quite menacing, dealing well over 10 damage for free** even with the smallest of bodies. Obvious shortcomings include less consistent hands in the pursuit to be more versatile, mana flooding, and the occasional slow hand. Possible solutions and ideas include Goblin Engineer or possibly mana ramp in the form of the Urza Lands and Mycosynth Lattice , although some other suggestions and cards have come to mind and I appreciate any more suggestions to possibly speed up the deck some more.
