NO AMOUNT OF GARLIC WILL SERVE YOU

Starting from my beloved vampire tribal deck which I built when I started playing, and taking into account Saffron Olive's Mardu Vampires, who definitely made a great job with the deck, this is my take on modern mardu vampires.

The 1 drops

- Knight of the Ebon Legion : He is replacing Vampire Lacerator , although it is almost like a Goblin Guide with fangs, I just don't like to do my opponent's job for free and I think the knight is a much more consistent drop, regardless of when it hits the table. The drawback here might be that as a greater threat, It'll probably eat more spot removal, but think positively; It might be able to protect himself against damage and if not it will reduce the amount of removal your opponent has available to throw to your more important vampires.

- Vampire of the Dire Moon : She's Vampire Nighthawk 's little sister, and she has come to replace Vampire Cutthroat here. Why? Because I think death touch is a better "pseudo-umblockable" tool than skulk, as most of the time they just don't want to lose their creatures and it doesn't lose its effectiveness when the creature gets pumped up by lords as would happen with skulk (in fact, it puts our opponent in a more difficult decision-making situation). And of course, death touch makes Vampire of the Dire Moon a better blocker in case of need. If all this does not convince you, at least think you've got rid of that creepy guy and that you've replaced him with someone much more beautiful :)

The 2 Drops

- Bloodghast : what to say about this guy... he's like the Holy Spirit of vampires! Or maybe like that annoying little kid you can never get rid of xd. He's aggressive, He plays well with fetches, he's a nice sacrifice target for Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord and he's a pain in the ass for your opponent, what else could you ask for?

- Dusk Legion Zealot : Well, then this one might be Elvish Visionary 's far, deranged cousin. While he might look like the team's skinny guy, he's ability to draw cards is capital for us, and after that, he's a nice sacrifice target for our lord Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord . The other option is to turn his 1/1 body into a Supreme Predator based on vampire lords :)

- Gifted Aetherborn : So if Vampire of the Dire Moon is his little sister, this one must be Vampire Nighthawk 's creepy little brother. He is a good blocker, taking down big threats and providing some precious life. Might replace him with Cordial Vampire

- Legion Lieutenant : Merfolks have Lord of Atlantis , humans have Thalia's Lieutenant ...it was time for us to have a 2-drop lord and take us to war ASAP!!

The 3 drops

- Captivating Vampire : The truth is that I didn't feel super confident with him and I replaced him with Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord , who I think has a lot more of impact. But you know, stealing creatures sometimes is more fun than winning, so I kept one of these flirts for laughs sake. And well... because he's good too <3

- Stromkirk Captain : we can't fight only with fangs and claws, and that's why this warlike vamp is providing the full-metal stuff, making our death touch creatures even more dangerous. So yeah, just "slay all who trespass".

The 4 drops

- Vampire Nocturnus : he's THE vampire, the lord, the legend. Aggressively pumping up all our thirsty fellas and providing evasion, aka stealing games like no other. He's the reason why the whole deck has been made black (cutting even Lightning Bolt ). Don't forget to take advantage from fetches and maybe even Lose Hope if you want to go "wild for the night, f*ck being polite" all day long.

The Supply

- Terminate and Fatal Push : kill, kill, kill, murder, murder, murder!!! That's "Die Antwoord"

- Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord : ladies and gentlemen, please kneel before your master and lord, Sorin Markov! Joking apart, I think he has a much more consistent impact on the board than Captivating Vampire and he vampire-friendly af, I mean, what could be more vamp-friendly than a vampire planeswalker? xD

"Your blood is quite pleasing. A pity there's not enough for both of us." Comments and suggestions are always welcome!
