Sideboard

Creature (1)

Companions continue their rampage into every format and are now ruining EDH with this brew. That's right, we're running with Umori, meaning we need commitment to our favourite nonland card type. In this case, enchantments! Given these restrictions, Pharika is in fact the only legal commander we could run. Sure is lucky she's sweet! You haven't lived until you've actived her making a horde of deathtouching snakes while filling your hand with Eidolon of Blossoms and wiping all your opponents' boards with Doomwake Giant.

We have an assortment of ramping options, most prominently Umori himself. These will ensure you can splurge out enchantments trigger all your enchatress effects and accruing a huge advantage.

Wouldn't be an enchantment deck without enchantresses, would it? Since we don't have access to the usual nonenchantment creature suite, we instead branch out a bit into cards like Recycle (which triggers off playing lands as well!). Along with all the other sources, hoo boy do we get to draw a lot of cards. Careful to not deck yourself!

Being in green and black, we better be good at dealing with problem permanents. Ok well we may not have Toxic Deluge or Abrupt Decay, but golly are there some good options here.

We're in graveyard-y colours, and we certainly have graveyard synergies. What's more fun than playing all these great cards? How about playing them over and over again.

Well, if you must. Of course you can win by grinding your opponent out with your overwhelming card draw and removing all their stuff. However, if you favour a quick punch to the throat, we have plenty of ways to achieve that.

A final remark - there are a lot of enchantments out there in green and black, and this list is highly customisable. I've just settled on a particular style that I find the most fun. Feel free to try out different directions!

  • Load up on more auras and enjoy your indestructible 5/5 Voltron commander.
  • Go deeper on reanimation, there are plenty of mill and discard options available to fill you and your opponent's graveyards.
  • Take advantage of the many token generating enchantments and anthems to create a go-wide token deck that's very resilient to board wipes (did you know Moldervine Reclamation doesn't say "nontoken"?).
  • Embrace all of the expensive nonsense enchantments that you can use to mess with people! See how much you can enrage your playgroup with Grave Betrayal, Painful Quandary, Cruel Reality, and Wound Reflection!

Have fun!
