The deck seeks to get out Daretti turn 1 or 2 then use him to break parity, or set up stax pieces before he comes out. His +1 fuels the yard while drawing cards/filtering our hand. His -2 brings out large stax pieces or answers that are hard to cast. Occasionally we lock early and can get the emblem.

Wincons are: -Grinding out the game with wurmcoil and such -Locking out the game with Possessed Portal and something like Scarecrone or Goblin Welder -Draw the deck with metalworker and staff and play it -Draw most the deck with Wheel of Fortune combo -Mycosynth and Karn or Vandalblast
