This is a fun deck built around Shalai, Voice of Plenty.

It has light sub-themes of life gain and angels with cards like Lyra Dawnbringer, but we are not married to that idea. The deck aims to ramp into powerful creatures like Akroma, Vision of Ixidor and Elder Gargaroth that each demand answers while Shalai makes it hard for our opponents to do so since they are all hexproof when she's on the battlefield.

There are a number of ways to really lock them down even further. We have Guardian Augmenter and Mother of Runes to protect Shalai, thereby adding an extra layer of protection to our other creatures. We are still able to be board wiped, but Sephara, Sky's Blade and Gaddock Teeg even help against that.

In classic battlecruiser fashion we slowly keep piling on the power and value until our opponents are inevitably unable to handle us any longer. If the game goes longer, we also have sneaky win conditions in cards like Angel of Destiny and Felidar Sovereign.
