Oh dear.
After a humiliating FNM on Tuesday (that's when it's held at my LGS), I've now retired this deck. Very sad, as I enjoyed playing it. The cards are now being put into my new Golgari build.
Match 1 (Mono-Green Devotion): Played this opponent a couple of weeks ago. He was able to Burning Tree> Burning Tree> something else. His win con is Aspect of Hydra. Couldn't keep up and was slaughtered. (He came 1/24 players) Lost 2-0.
Match 2 (BW Enchantment): Very similar matchup, with lots of Masters, plus Brain Maggot and a few other tricks. Lost first game, won second game quickly, final game went down to the wire and I would have won the next turn had I been able to play my Gray Merchant. Lost 2-1.
Match 3 (Mono-White Lifegain): Played against a new player who managed to get up to 35 life. His creatures were easily removed and he chose to take too much damage from Desecration Demon thinking he could survive the next turn. Won 2-0.
Match 4 (Golgari Dredge): Excruciating final match with smug opponent. Lost first game to a Lich Lord with Nighthowler bestowed. Was told I was "stupid" when I mistakenly Dark Betrayaled it, which did not endear him to me. More and more creatures went to the yard, and I was unable to hold back a tide of creatures. Game 2 was a quick win for me because of a great curve out. Game 3 went long. I risked a Read the Bones to draw into more creatures, but sadly didn't have enough board presence. Lost 2-1.
