Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation changes —Aug. 26, 2017

After extensive playtesting I decide to make a change:

IN:

OUT

This change was suggested by the user Austin_Smith_of_Cards, whom I must thank. I'll explain the change by quoting is advice:

"Ramunap Excavator looks especially strong for this list. Being able to directly tutor it out with stuff like Woodland Bellower, Green Sun's Zenith, Chord of Calling, etc. makes it easier to grab than Crucible, even if it is a bit more vulnerable. It's probably something definitely worth including.

I'm thinking swapping it in for Dosan the Falling Leaf, for three reasons:

1) Prowling Serpopard is another 3-drop that effectively helps do the same thing; i.e. prevent your opponents from countering your creature spells during your turn.

2) He has slight anti-synergy with other cards in your list. Bellower can't tutor for him, Yeva becomes kind of useless, and no epic end step Chord of Callings before untapping.

3) He's another three-drop, which means he perfectly swaps his place on the curve.

Don't know how important Dosan is to your meta; if you've got a pretty heavy number of control players hanging around, maybe keep him. But I think for the reasons stated above, he could probably take the cut."

I couldn't agree more with him. Ramunap proved itself to be an amazing asset in this deck.

That's all for now. Let's hope that Ixalan will have some awesome cards inside :)

Austin_Smith_of_Cards I totally agree with your analysis! I'll do some testing and try your changes. In case I like that choice, can I use quote your comment in the deck description? :)
