Working Name

A casual deck made from cards I have. Some of the card choices are based on how many I own.

Very much a work in progress.


  • The deck tended, in this state, to get clobbered by removal.
  • Also, the creatures didn't hit hard enough, giving the opponent too much time to bring bigger hitters on-line.
  • My thoughts are to give my creatures a bit of protection and buffing and to increase the removal a bit. I'll try to pay for this by relying more on intrinsically unblockable (or shadow) creatures, thus decreasing my need for cards that grant unblockable.

  • The changes I made from the first version were to: (A.) Remove all but one of the creatures that need to be given unblockability, replacing them with ones that either have it intrinsically or gain it through their own abilities. The one remaining blockable creature will have to rely on flying, removal, and protection spells to get it through. (B.) Remove all of the cards that grant unblockability. (C:) Increased the number of removal spells. (D:) Added protection spells and a cipher spell that taps creatures. (E:) This resulted in removing most of my draw and loot effects (which I will sorely miss), so I removed the Sphinx's Tutelage as well. (F.) Rebalanced the land. [The average CMC dropped from 2.13 to 2.03, and the colors shifted a bit more toward black.]
