Marchesa has build a network of allies among goblins, faeries, vampires, gorgons and other races. Her entourage further includes some zombies and some wizards.

Her general plan is to strengthen her creatures with +1/+1 counters, so that they return from the grave. Then, even complete boardwipes will not concern her.

Having many creatures with deathtouch discourages both attacking and blocking of enemy creatures. Some cards help to bring back creatures from graveyards just in case.
