Path to Victory:

Straight forward concept, use the good old Grand Architect + Pili-Pala infinite mana combo to cheat our way to victory. The combination of luck and cards with transmute help with acquiring the combo pieces and win conditions. Muddle the Mixture can act as a hard counter to protect the combo from targeted removal spells or aid with tutoring for any of our two drops. Similar to Muddle the Mixture , Drift of Phantasms lets us tutor our deck for Staff of Domination , Grand Architect , Kefnet the Mindful or any other 3 drops. Aether Vial helps with mana efficiency and evasion against countermagic. The biggest issue with linear combos is its weakness to counter or removal spells against any of its components. Spellskite , Muddle the Mixture , Academy Ruins , Buried Ruin , Lazav, the Multifarious (SB), and Counterspell (SB) help deal with most targeted removal spells in modern.

Win Conditions

Infinite Life gain / Draws

Grand Architect + Pili-Pala + Staff of Domination - Activate the combo generating 1 googolplex worth of mana to your mana pool, use said mana to tap Staff of Domination then either draw a card from our library or gain a life, use one mana to untap the staff and repeat this process.

Infinite Life loss

Grand Architect + Pili-Pala + Profane Command - Activate the combo generating 1 Googleplex worth of mana to your mana pool, cast Profane Command whereas the value of X is an arbitrary number sufficient enough to kill your opponent on the spot.

Infinite Exile + Play Entire Deck

Grand Architect + Pili-Pala + Urza, Lord High Artificer - Activate the combo generating 1 Googleplex worth of mana to your mana pool, cast Urza or with the card already on the battlefield, activate Urza's exile ability shuffling our library, then place the top card of our library into the exile zone, play the card or repeat the previous process until drawing any one of our many win conditions.

Steal your opponents permanents

Once we have established nearly an infinite amount of mana either hard cast or play Memnarch from exile using Urza. This is pretty self explanatory, use Memnarch 's activated abilities to take control of our opponents permanents.

Emrakul ftw

Not much to say, play either Emarkul and win.

Optimal Hand

The optimal opening hand should consist of no more than 2-3 lands, Spellskite , Pili-Pala , Aether Vial , and Drift of Phantasms / Grand Architect . Don't Keep a bad hand!!, and whenever possible, always play Aether Vial before Serum Visions as this helps accelerate our combo by a turn and can evade control's countermagic since creatures are not technically cast with Aether Vial's activated ability. Anything we can do that enables us to play around control is crucial as this is one of our worst matchups.

Sideboard Considerations

Largely meta specific but cards like Lazav, the Multifarious and Counterspell help deal with removal and countermagic since Lazav lets us play our combo from the grave and Counterspell is simply a hard counter. These two cards are meant to tackle longer more mid-range/control matchups as they offer a way to play around the opponent. The other spells not mentioned are for dealing with plainswalkers, creature, and combo decks.

Final Thoughts

*This deck is meant to troll your lgs nothing more and in my humble opinion to slow for competitive magic. However, it is indeed possible to draw the perfect hand on occasion and seize the game by T3/T4. But be careful to protect your combo at all/costs as without it you're in for a very rough ride and will most certainly lose.
