Sideboard

an FNM favorite of mine, not crazy competitive, but has a decent record having taken down a handful of FNMs and likely would take more with practice and better play.

ideal hands curve out and protect from discard effects as the deck is quite vulnerable against thoughtseize.

landing a heartless summoning is a necessity against nearly my entire meta. with that said, it can power through without if my opponent falls behind on pressure.

turns out, the scarab god is pretty good. mulldrifter in conjunction allows for insane card advantage and grave titan passively allows for more filtering.

tireless tracker is insane, easily one of the best cards in the deck by themselves.

massacre wurm kills token decks if it resloves. and honestly, its good enough on its own.

wurmcoil is not mana restrictive and makes for a powerful include when bloodmoon is at large.

with all that said, this deck doesnt contain any real way of being consistent. and with a top end as high as ours, its not difficult to see why. ideas to improve the consistency would be excellent! thank you for taking the time to read and check out my deck list.

Game 1 was 1-2 against Eldrazi Tron. i made a ridiculous blunder and didnt sideboard in the Damping sphere insert rage here needless to say after game one, it was sheer punishment. to top it off in game 3 he naturally trons me on turn 3 after a mull to 5. never didnt have it. Game 2 was 2-1 against Infect. round 1 was a beating, my opponent never seen a second threat and i stripped his hand with thoughtseize and inquisition. round 2 he managed to dodge the hand hate, and flown over my blockers with inkmoth nexus. round 3 was interesting, i managed to hate out all threats and his spellskite was no match for hostage taker. Game 3 was 2-1 against Amulet Titan. round 1, my opponent jokingly ancient sturing's into Ugin. ramped and crushed me with it. what a show haha. round 2, i hate out and remove a few creatures so to disrupt his ramping. hostage taker his amulet and slowed him down enough to get through with tireless tracker and scarab god. round 3 was a repeat of round 2 nearly card for card. Game 4 was 2-1 against Grinding Station Combo. once i seen the combo unfold in the round 1, i stuck to the plan of disrupt him and stick a massacre wurm before he can combo. was good enough both round 2 and 3.

what did i learn today; sideboard is terribly important. easily could have went 4-0 tonight and im kicking myself for it. with that said, my other match ups i felt very well positioned. my main board had lots of answers and enough disruption to hold down combo decks and when it mattered, aggro decks.

No changes where made from the list above but am always willing to make concessions and listen to suggestions. Thanks for checking out the list and Remember to Enjoy Playing Magic.
