Description

This "cube" is really a 281 card set I call Historic Masters. The goal was to have something my freinds and I can draft here on tappedout, then export the decklists to arena to play. While formatted like a cube (because to my knowledge there is no way to draft a "set" on tappedout) the differing card amounts available at each rarity, along with the seeded pack settings, make this draft like opening fresh packs of a masters pack, without the fresh smell.

The set uses all cards available in the historic formats, bringing together the most powerful commons and uncommons in each set. The format is centered more heavily than usual around synergy and signpost uncommons, and as such I have included 4 uncommons in every pack. A design goal was to lessen, or outright eliminate, the idea of a single rare or mythic overpowering the format. As such these power levels serve more as rewards to archetypes rather than being the focus of the deck. This, in theory, leads to games that aren't decided by one bomb rare, but rather back and forth interaction with strong commons and uncommons.
