Art-n-Lutherie on Kruphix the Master of the Helix

If you want to win with Helix Pinnacle, your best bet is generating infinite mana. Here’s some ways to do it with artifacts. I prefer artifacts with Kruphix cause he’s already interested in vesting stores of colorless mana.

  1. Grim Monolith + Power Artifact
  2. Basalt Monolith + Power Artifact
  3. Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth
  4. Aphetto Alchemist + Rings of Brighthearth + any rock that taps for 3 or more
  5. Aphetto Alchemist + Illusionist's Bracers + any mana rock
  6. Karn, Silver Golem + Voltaic Construct + any rock that taps for 3 or more

Aphetto Alchemist + Rings of Brighthearth + artifact that make 3+ mana = infinite mana

Aphetto Alchemist + Illusionist's Bracers + artifact that make 1+ mana = infinite mana

K34 on 2-card infinite Mana combo?

Grand Architect + Pili-Pala is my favorite 2 card combo. Basalt Monolith + Power Artifact or Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth work if you want to invest more money into it. (other rocks could work besides Basalt.)

Tezzeret the Seeker is a solid card to fish out those OP artifacts as well as make cretures out of every artifact you control (Mycosynth Lattice being present makes this ability literally broken.). Whirler Rogue would be solid to give a bunch of artifact creatures unblockable. Personally, I like Darksteel Citadel + Ensoul Artifact combo because a T2 5/5 with indestructible is amazing in just about any game mode. Since you run Mycosynth Lattice, I'd highly recommend running Darksteel Forge to make sure everything of yours isn't destroyed. A fun combo that I've used is to make infinite mana, involving Basalt Monolith + Power Artifact . Power Artifact by itself is pretty good, so I'd definitely add it to the decklist.Arcum Dagsson is a perfect fit if you're running Thopter populate, because you can target yourself so that you can tutor any artifact in your deck and put it INTO PLAY. Broken, much? Hope this helps, and good luck!

Dream Fracture > Cancel in commander since you don't loose any card advantage. You need to put in Laboratory Maniac to auto-win w/ Enter the Infinite + anyway to draw 2 cards. I don't think you need Spellbook since Tolaria West can get Reliquary Tower. You can use Tunnel Vision to almost mill somebody when you counter a spell w/ Hinder or Spell Crumple. Myriad Landscape would be a good semi-ramp land to add, usually good in any mono-colored deck. Mystic Remora goes in just about every deck that runs mana symbol u. I don't think you need Graceful Adept since you already have enough no max hand size cards and Graceful Adept doesn't do anything else. Basalt Monolith + Power Artifact = infinite colorless mana which this deck can really abuse, for instance, using Blue Sun's Zenith to mill an opponent out or being able to activate your commander's ability over and over again, unfortunately Power Artifact costs a lot of $.

Combos include:
Basalt Monolith + Power Artifact
Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth
Grim Monolith + Power Artifact
Demonic Consultation + Laboratory Maniac as a last resort.

There is also Doomsday, which is being experimented with at the moment, as well as a four card combo involving Magosi, the Waterveil which has never worked, but might get better if I can ever afford a Candelabra of Tawnos.

trinitok on Masters of the mind (Multiplayer Sen Triplets)

After playtesting with the girls, I have found that they are best used as a utility commander. This is because they are a 5 drop with p/t of 3/3. They also don't have any initial protection so you gotta make them survive a whole cycle. Even then, if they do survive you will have to pick one opponent. If all your opponents are playing some mix of g/r then you are immediately at a disadvantage. I see that you have some cards to try and offset the differences (Fellwar Stone for example), and you can also take their land and play it as your for the turn, but some decks have higher casting cost than 3 so you would have to steal multiple forests/mountains for them to be truly effective against an opponent's hand. That being said, it does set some people back if you take their lands. Then just because of the Sen Triplets's ability, people instantly target you. I can't tell you how many games I am the first or quick second out of the game because people do not enjoy not being able to play their decks :P

I'm sure you've realized this though. All I'm saying is that while I do love the Triplets, they are really more of an expensive utility that gets more expensive with every cast.

May I ask how long some of the games with you and your friends last? Something like Memnarch is expensive to play unless you have something like Omniscience out there first. Given the cost of your deck, I assume that your friends are also very familiar with cards like Omniscience and will try to save something to get rid of it. So I'm glad you don't run it. I always found that a 10 drop enchantment is to easy to counter and then I just sit there with no mana, completely open to my opponents. I would, however, suggest getting rid of Memnarch. Not useful as a whole in my opinion. I also suggest getting rid of Council's Judgment because I feel that it would be to easy for opponent's to pick Triplets over a more viable target.

You also have to be the one person playing Sen Triplets that I also do not see running Mycosynth Lattice. May I ask why not? Do you feel like you are helping your opponents to much? It synergizes really well with the Triplets and completely negates my above point about not having mana for your opponent's spells. Plus it allows an easier use of Memnarch's ability to steal stuff since everyone's everything is now an artifact.

I suggest Metalworker. It offers some good ramp that you can use to get some of your higher cost artifacts out. I also suggest Basalt Monolith + Power Artifact for the infinite colorless mana that you can easily pour into higher costing artifacts. Combine Basalt Monolith + Power Artifact with Mycosynth Lattice and you can just have Memnarch take everyone's stuff all at once.

I know that there is also a combo with Ethersworn Adjudicator, but I can't remember what it is. Either way, run it.

Nice Sharuum combo.

Why Absorb for a counter? I would suggest Render Silent. I'm sure I don't have to tell you how lifegain isn't that great in EDH. I think Render Silent would be better because if you are going up against a deck like Ezuri, Renegade Leader, and you know he is just going to cast elf after elf after elf after elf on a turn, Render Silent both surprise counters and shuts him/her down for the turn.

I will post more later but I have to do something right now. I am interested in hearing back from you and what you think of my suggestions.
