Hellsing on Semi-regular reminder that Global Series …
5 years ago
DiverDown Did some small digging on the issue, and I have found at least one common denominator.
The following cards from Magic Game Night - (GNT) have incorrect legality:
And in Global Series: Jiang Yanggu & Mu Yanling - (GS1), only the cards listed below works:
- Brilliant Plan
- Cloak of Mists
- Forest
- Giant Spider
- Island
- Meandering River
- Mountain
- Plains
- Timber Gorge
- Welkin Tern
This shows that only NEW entries in the database are affected by this bug, cards that existed before which only got an updated image in the sets didn't get affected.
I have tried to edit cards(using the "fix card" function) but that does not yield any result at all, everything looks okay in the forms when submitting the cards.
I also tried submitting an entry of an existing card in another set/expansion to see if it changed something, but it didn't.
So the entries in the database are probably corrupted, manual deletion and readding is maybe a way to go for individual cards. But what causes the bug I have no idea of.
To investigate this issue further it would be good if I have more cards to look at, so tag them here if you find any.
Arvail : I hope not, except for this bug I think it works somewhat good.
Boza on Keyforge, the newest Richard Garfield …
5 years ago
- So far, my games of Keyforge have been close. Any deck that won, the opposing one was a turn or two away from victory.
- Garfield included the chains system to boost weaker decks and take down a peg stronger ones. Have you tried it?
- 25 years of Magic lootboxes and now, Keyforge is suddenly a problem? Keyforge, where literally nobody knows what is actually good and what is trash?Keyforge, where people are selling 8-horsemen deck for 2k bucks simply on their rarity? No, that is not what Keyforge is about. For example:
- Wrath of God is a common in this game and creatures are the main part of any deck, so WOG is even more powerful here. Card power is not tied to rarity.
- I have 1 deck that has 3 rares, 1 per House and another deck that has the 4 horsemen (4 mythics), 1 maverick card and 3 other rares from the other factions. Guess which deck wins more? The one with the fewer rare cards. It is more consistent and has decent power in its common slot.
- Can you input just a deckname, without the QR code, and get the contents? If so, this should not be the case and decks without scanned QR codes, should not be searchable online.
- However, this brings me back to the other point - can you really determine how a deck will play just based on the decklist alone? This is not magic, where Welkin Tern and Snapcaster Mage are clearly not in the same league. The power levels of individual cards cannot be gauged and in keyforge, more than any other game, the whole deck is a lot more important than the individual cards in it.
Geralf_Cecani on Scornful Egotist Deck help
6 years ago
I recently talked to my playgroup, and they said that they would let me use the Scornful Egotist as my commander, even though he isn't legendary. This has cleared the way for my new deck plan. What I'm planning on doing is building a deck full of those seriously OP creatures that exist in colourless and blue, such as Millennial Gargoyle , Welkin Tern , Tattered Haunter and Curio Vendor . I also want to use blue's amazing card advantage to its full potential, using spells such as Think Twice, Coastal Discovery and Brilliant Spectrum . Im also thinking of throwing in a counterspell or two, such as Countermand or Censor. Im not really going with any sort of synergy, just trying to beat them to death with the sheer quality of the cards Im using.
Please add any suggestions that you think would work well with this deck type. Remember Im not looking for merely Ok spells, like Jace's Ingenuity. They have to be amazing, like, Storm Crow quality, nothing less.
NOTE TO ADMINS: Pls dont ban me, Im actually making this deck: as a joke and as a spare deck my playgroup can punish people who forget to bring their own decks with; and Im actually having a bit of trouble finding cards bad enough to go in here

Hex is right. Welkin Tern is a horrible card, And it has no sure fire way of letting you lose the game. I'm fairly sure ticked-off-squirrel has never seen a Storm Crow in play, otherwise he would have immense respect for so powerful a card.
The goal in including 1 Storm Crow, is that your opponent will try conceding in response, but you can counter that concede by conceding on your own, therefore you lose, and that is the whole point of this deck.

krackhour a......1/2 flyer? I can reach into my blue spares and almost anything I grab will be better than it.

You should add a playset of Welkin Tern for the sake of having more flying creatures. But otherwise cool
