Destroy target land.

Just want to clarify something I saw: You cannot fuse Wear/Tear when casting it with Sunforger. The fuse ability explicitly states you can cast them both from your hand.

However, if you do go with Sunforger, I would recommend Volcanic Upheaval and Angel's Grace .

Other than that, I recommend Captain Lannery Storm and Sword of the Animist for ramp, possibly even Prying Blade

Incendiary Command is a decent budget upgrade with a lot of versatility. Pentad Prism is amazing. Seismic Spike is interesting, but a little weak. Volcanic Upheaval's instant speed can be very nice in more control-focussed deck variants.

I would recommend Ruination, Volcanic Upheaval, Dwarven Miner, and Dwarven Blastminer. This is really just personal opinion, I like ETB effects but I like to have cards that can destroy lands repeatedly. I wish you could run Deus of Calamity because that one is a beast of a card.

Loam Dryad Cryptolith Rite for ramping fast. Then I would take out some mana dorks and throw Tireless Tracker and Sylvan Advocate into the main, also replacing the attune with aether's with something defensive like Narnam Renegade. You would be more creature oriented at this point, but also have land destruction. That way, you always have a way to punish them when they get behind on board.

A good idea, if you can afford it, move into temur land destruction. Then run Torrential Gearhulk with Volcanic Upheaval. It's funny.

No Creeping Mold? It's a lot better than Volcanic Upheaval in my opinion. In addition, Druid of the Cowl might be better than Loam Dryad. 2 mana is a drawback, but not having to tap any other creatures might be worth it. Negate might also be worth running in the mainboard over Void Shatter, but that call is really up to you.

Haha, that was exactly my experience this past weekend at gameday. No one was expecting a land destruction deck. I didn't do very well against the BG snake counter decks, but the look on everyone's face when I hit turn 3 land destruction was hilarious. And also when casting Volcanic Upheaval after they tapped out. Instant land destruction was the best. I had one scoop from a cat lady deck after hitting their Port Town and Prairie Stream with Crumble to Dust. I definitely enjoyed the deck and had a few ideas on how to make it better during the matches. I'll post the update once I get around to revising the deck!

No problem! I used to run a Grixis version back when Oath of the Gatewatch first came out and had a light splash of Green for World Breaker.

The deck ran these as the destruction cards 3xCrumble to Dust 4xVolcanic Upheaval 2xGrip of Desolation 2xConsuming Sinkhole 2xReclaiming Vines

The creatures were 3xWorld Breaker 2xSire of Stagnation 3xOblivion Sower

The ramp spells were 4xHedron Archive 4xHedron Crawler 3xBeastcaller Savant 2xExplosive Vegetation

after that the deck was basically just lands including 3xWandering Fumarole 2xLumbering Falls 2xHissing Quagmire 2xDrownyard Temple

That was the core of the deck. Before Vegetation rotated, I had played this deck 3 times to a second place finish. Hedron Crawler, at the time, allowed so many broken things to happen with the deck. Either you get a turn 3 land destruction effect, or you'd get a turn 4 World Breaker and the opponent would just scoop after that.

There's a lot of other ways you can build the deck now, it's so much fun because you can start wrecking your opponent very consistently on turn 3. It's very powerful and people will never expect you to strip them of lands. especially in standard where I think everyone is spoiled with their free pass at having lands of any type they want whenever and wherever lol
