Vega, the Watcher

Legendary Creature — Bird Spirit

CamraMaan on How does Ice Cauldron interact …

I'm assuming Ice Cauldron doesn't care about whether or not I intend to cast the Adventure portion of a card. I would just tap it and pay X = the Adventure spell's cost, exile the card, then a later turn tap Ice Cauldron to cast the Adventure, correct? I'm scheming around Vega, the Watcher, and with so many Adventure cards likely to be in the deck, Ice Cauldron would likely only go in if it works with Adventures in this way. Thanks in advance!

If you plan on playing lots of cards from exile or the graveyard, Vega, the Watcher is a great card draw engine!

I'm making a Foretell/Learn deck not sure if they work well together but i want to try, I'm leaning towards Vega, the Watcher as my commander, because if I foretell or cast lessons from my sideboard I can draw a card from it's effect. However I was also considering Ranar the Ever-Watchful for the free foretell cost an the fact that I get a free token ever time I foretell, but it has nothing to do with lessons... that being said I feel like this deck will lean more towards Foretell than Learn so he may still be a better option.

No problem. Yeah its pretty annoying to make interesting decks like this because of how many power cards there are and removal. Right now i'm trying to make naya (green white red) spirits work. The hardest part is still the land base because I dont have enough rares, so it can be very frustrating. Also Prismari Command works nice. The most annoying thing for me right now is the stupid Esika's Chariot, fk that card man. Wrenn and Seven and all the black control decks that drop weenies and waste time til they Blood on the Snow are also a pain. So i use Negate main alot instead of saw it coming, and ive dropped Vega, the Watcher all together. You're right tho it is not competitive and its kind of a shame that rn im getting stomped by every top tier deck ppl spam

TheRoaringRegisaur - I run two of the birb in the maindeck, but more leads to stacking. But, yes, it has been overall excellent!
