+Land Ramp, it's a Land Creature deck after all and even if this outpaces the ability to create creature lands, extra mana good. Mitotic Manipulation Dig and Cheat a land into play Retraced Image cheat a basic Land from your hand into play Terrain Generator cheat a basic Land from your hand into play, Downside is the land needs to be reserved to tap and another 2 colourless available, it's pricey but it's land ramp outside of Green Myriad Landscape cheat a basic Land from your deck into play, the same downside to Terrain Generator

+Mana Ramp, never hurts, plus there are a few high CMC cards in here. Prismatic Lens just another insurance that Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper can come out earlier, added benefit of fixing mana High Tide Double that Island production for a turn, On the fence with this one since it's a Two coloured deck

+Vigilance, Ideally removing the hard decision of A. Attack and limiting mana. or B. Hold open Mana and limit attacks. Plus many of these have low CMC and can be played early before Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper especially in a slow game where you miss your Ramp Always Watching is another Brave the Sands Hold the Gates Serra's Blessing These do have the downsides of being removed from some of your board wipes Heliod, God of the Sun may work around that

+Untap Creatures be it fainting opponents or bursting extra mana, this shit is gangsta, you have Unity of Purpose and To Arms! can always add Call to Glory, Energy Arc, Rally of Wings and Roar of the Kha. these can boost the over speed of the deck. Thoughtweft Gambit has a high CMC but comes with Sleep attached (Didn't see them in the Maybeboard)

-Stragglers There is some fluff in here. 1. -Swiftfoot Boots add another counter or some other form of CMDR protection 2. -there are a few things with awaken where paying extra for the awaken are just silly, ie. pay extra 3 colourless for 3 +1/+1. You could save the mana a cast some extra cantrips. cast 2 for a total of 2 CMC and get 6 +1/+1 counters with Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper 3. -Sorcery speed card draw. there are some good staples but the instant speed with some vigilance of the field will be better 4.-Proliferate. hard to say really, most cards that come with proliferate have higher CMC, unless your getting 5 or more +1/+1 counters from spending 3CMC, using cantrips really do become much more Efficient.

Looks like a great start! Definitely seems powerful for a first EDH. You might like these: Blade of the Bloodchief , Iron Bully , Thalakos Deceiver , Mark of Mutiny , Press into Service , Unity of Purpose , Drana, Liberator of Malakir , Smothering Abomination , Aetherworks Marvel , Decree of Pain

I built a Marchesa deck around modular creatures if you want to check it out, maybe you'll see something you like.

To put +1/+1 counters on your slivers so Volrath can copy one: Durable Handicraft , Unity of Purpose , Generous Patron , Vigor , Vraska, Swarm's Eminence , Bow of Nylea , Forgotten Ancient , Experimental Kraj, and Jiang Yanggu, Wildcrafter . Since you only need 1 sliver to have a counter mass +1/+1 counter generators are probably unnecessary and you only need a few of these, maybe 3-5, to ensure you reliably see one.

Since all you need is a single counter on a single sliver to get all of the keywords, Arcane adaption, etc. seem unnecessary. Unless you are going for a janky win like with Liliana's Contract (I have tried it).

Very fun idea!

Shadow02 I like Tidespout Tyrant but it just costs a bit too much in my opinion. Absolutely works for this deck though. Thanks for commenting.

KeilFX I do have Unity of Purpose but I just haven't decided to use it because it really is dangerous to animate too many lands. It makes it hard to put counters on my own creatures because I'd have to animate multiple. It is a very good card. I do run Mystic Speculation today. It is a very good card. You also don't have to buy it back every time. I'm also happy to hear you're using Sphinx-Bone Wand . It is a good card but yes it can do nothing especially if someone destroys it. Happy to hear you like the deck. Thanks for the suggestions and comments!

Noyan Dar is one of my new pet projects of mine (I rarely have expendable cash, and an LGS just opened up near me which is sweet since I don't drive!), and I think your list is awesome!

With To Arms being as massively powerful as it is in this deck, Unity of Purpose should be included for more redundancy.

I find that with Azorius Spellslingers' lack of ramp capabilities, consistent card draw and selection is necessary. Mystic Speculation can be a one-stop shop for that, especially since it repeatedly lets Noyan Dar make tokens. The buyback makes up for the fact that it doesn't cantrip itself, and makes sure that you always have some way of animating / buffing your land creatures.

And although they're 7 mana do-nothing cards, Eye of the Storm and Sphinx-Bone Wand can spiral out of control if not removed (or played off-curve). I personally run the wand as the only artifact in the deck, alongside Shape Anew and artifact token creators so I have a way of cheating the wand into play.

Eye of the Storm can be especially backbreaking if you can cadt your To Arms! / Unity of Purpose, you'd get to repeatedly cast it, animate a land, and float mana for your Tezzeret's Gambit or what have you. You have to be mindful of the spells you cast into EotS, since if you Disenchant all other legal targets and don't have a counterspell in the eye to counter it, you have to destroy the enchantment. It enchantment also lets your opponents use spells you put into it, so be careful. Silly, but careful!

Awesome brew bud, I look forward to see how this deck evolves!

The $12 Add list

Halimar Tidecaller- Doesnt currently get anything back, but giving your creatures flying can help a lot due to the evasion they gain.

Cataclysmic Gearhulk & Tragic Arrogance- These clear the board of any threats without destroying your lands, Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper, or other important things. This gives removal in your favor.

Darksteel Garrison- This protects a land, sort of like Darksteel Plate, but just for a land. It can also buff itself, which is fun! But the important part is that it gives one of your lands indestructible.

Dig Through Time- By far the most expensive card on this list, this card is a very good spell for finding exactly the cards you need for the current situation. You need a boardwipe? Grab one with ol Dig. This card is generally very good.

Fuel for the Cause, Steady Progress, and Tezzeret's Gambit- All provide the ability proliferate. Originally intended for Infect, this lets you put a +1/+1 counter on all of your lands, a strong ability. All along another effect. And the fact that you get creatures with Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper too Lots of power! The cast trigger the spells being cast will resolve after Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper creates an elemental. So you can cast the spell, get an elemental, and buff that elemental with a +1/+1 counter.

Mirrorweave- If you target one of your lands with this, because the base power and toughness is 0/0, all other creatures will have 0/0 power and toughness, killing them. If they have +1/+1 counters or another buff, they will not die. But Mirrorweave should be able to kill most threats.

Teferi's Response- They try to Path to Exile your land, you cast this. They read the card What the heck, this exists?! Unfair! point to the part that says land. This card ONLY helps you, in almost any other deck, it sucks. There is no use in any other deck, but in yours it is excellent. It draws two cards for 2 too. Keep in mind that this stops things like planeswaker abilities too. And it would destroy that planeswalker. Or anything that targets your lands. This is a good card for the deck.

To Arms! and Unity of Purpose- These not only let you untap if you are attacked, they also let you gain mana by tapping all of your lands for mana. Say you had 3 Islands and 4 plains as creatures, if you tapped them all then casted To Arms!, you would get 5 mana out of it. This is a cantrip and mana generator. And one draws you cards How can you resist that?

Equinox- This is another card like Teferi's Response, it protects your living lands from being destroyed by Doom Blade or Beast Within. Or non-living lands, for that matter

Planar Birth- Recurs all of your dead lands back into play. Only works on basics though. Very helpful after a wrath.

Sacred Ground- Along the same lines as Planar Birth, this will bring back your lands whenever there is a wrath. So long as you didnt cast it. This card is very good recursion for you.

Terra Eternal- This card is the gravy train. It makes your lands indestructible for three mana. That simple. This card will put in work, so long as it isnt destroyed itself.

Planar Outburst and Hour of Revelation- Kills all of their stuff while keeping your lands alive. Very handy.

Coastal Breach and Devastation Tide- Wipes their boards clean, leaving you with lots of big lands to stare them down.

I hope this was helpful. I think that with just a little tweaking, the deck can be very good. Hope you have fun with it!
