Nice One! My Friend! +1. How about Thraben Heretic it is a cheap cast and has no extra activation costs, just a simple tap and on instant speed. I like Silent Gravestone, cheap to cast and it locks graveyard decks like Meren of Clan Nel Toth or The Scarab God and when someone tries to get rid of it, activate it.

Ok, I'm pretty happy with where this has ended up now. I purchased a couple of more expensive cards to add more utility in Aura Shards and Mirari's Wake . Also I have added in ramp package as I now have a few more expensive creatures. Finally I played around with the creature base a little by adding in Odric, Master Tactician in place of Baird, Steward of Argive , replacing Thraben Heretic with potentially more powerful Containment Priest , swapping Banisher Priest for Fiend Hunter as this opens up the possibility of permanently removing a creature with Gallows at Willow Hill and finally, removing Devout Chaplain in favour of Avacyn, Angel of Hope as I now have Aura Shards to fill that role.

I would like to find a way to fit Banisher Priest back in so I have both Oblivion Ring style creatures but have no idea what to remove to do so. My three drops seem pretty solid. After that I think it's just the mana base I need to look at as I have a few triple white cards to worry about and would like to add some utility in at this slot.

Holy shit that maybeboard! :D

Some thoughts:

Immediate +1 for Elspeth ;)

I'm glad you already know about Hatred. That would have been my first suggestion.

Cathars' Crusade will useful. Make 10 tokens from Elenda and they all get 10 +1/+1 counters. Just pure value.

Well of Lost Dreams. Lifegain seems to be a secondary theme here, but having this around to draw some extra cards will always be good.

Eldrazi Monument. Just a nice way to buff all your tokens.

Edict effects go hand in hand with sac outlet decks. Dictate of Erebos, Grave Pact.

Mentor of the Meek. Again, more card draw.

Sigil of the New Dawn. Return Elenda to your hand immediately.

I'm considering making an Elenda build. One avenue I was thinking was graveyard hate. Really unconventionl strategy here but maybe it'll work. Planar Void, Purgatory(could choose the 2 life over 2 mana. Good deal), Mortuary, Cremate(also draws you a card), Withered Wretch, Thraben Heretic could all be useful. Just some thoughts.

Hope some of this helps! I'll keep following this with interest.

AlexoBn, Thanks again for the suggestion. It probably would be a good idea to include some graveyard hate in the deck. Though there are a few reasons I currently do not. The main reason is, that there aren't really any decks in my Budget Playgroup that have graveyard interaction. So it's not super important. Another reason is that I don't know if there's anything worth removing for Thraben Heretic. Though if I were to include graveyard hate Thraben Heretic is a good choice, it's a Human and budget, but it's a bit slow and it only hits creatures. I would have to look more into my options, but I think the best choice for this deck would be Ground Seal, as it's budget, has a low converted mana cost and most importantly it's an Enchantment! Another nice thing is the activated ability on Sigarda, Heron's Grace doesn't target, so Ground Seal doesn't cause any problems for myself, only my opponents.

I looked through the list again and was asking myself if you have anything against graveyards. Budget Thraben Heretic seems like a good inclusion

Little known fact: Thraben Heretic's "dead" are pink Eldrazi tentacles, the "ghoulcallers" are Emrakul 'cultists', and the "madness" is all of the conspiracy theories on TappedOut.

I'm back! I feel like I didn't give you an in-depth enough review the last time, so I've decided to fix that. I love the new changes to the deck! Not sure if you're still looking for recommendations, but here you go!

Cuts:

Exalted Angel - Not very good, especially for 6.

Reya Dawnbringer - Your main priority is dropping Avacyn, and Avacyn should never go to the graveyard. Also, 9 mana?? Really??

Thraben Heretic - If your friend group works with the graveyard a lot, run Tormod's Crypt Otherwise, don't even bother with anyone's graveyard.

Archetype of Courage - Doesn't do what you want it to do.

Angelic Edict and Iona's Judgement - Awful cards. Better exile effects in the adds section.

Archangel's Light - love the flavor, but you don't care about the life, and in my experience Avacyn's grave tends to be a bit empty.

Moonsilver Spear - again, loving the flavor, however, high mana cost and slow on the uptake.

Dispatch - You don't run very many artifacts.

Warden of the Beyond - not enough value. Not worth your time.

Angel of Finality - Again. Graveyards. Tormod's Crypt

Defy Death - Generally empty graveyards.

Adds:

Lightning Greaves - a little spendy, but possibly one of the most fundamentally important cards to any Avacyn deck. You need one.

Weathered Wayfarer - you can start the game with this card and one land in your opening hand and be perfectly okay. This card has saved me more times than I can could. A must have.

Oblivion Ring Better Exile

Grasp of Fate Better Exile

Stonehewer Giant - great for getting those Lightning Greaves or that Worldslayer.

Basalt Monolith - Dat ramp doe.

Phyrexian Rebirth - Beautiful boardwipe

Akroma's Memorial - I don't know why you have a sideboard, or what it's there for, but this card deserves to be in the main deck.

Palisade Giant - cast Avacyn, make it indestructible. Beautiful.

Mother of Runes Mom will always looks out for you. .. and protect Avacyn from exile spells.

Archangel of Tithes - She makes it so people generally don't want to or can't attack/block you.

Finally, Elspeth, Sun's Champion A card that takes over an entire game if left alone for more than two turns. She is import to have.

That is all of the cheaper replacements I could think of, but there are expensive one's too. I wish you the best of luck with this deck and hope to know that you succeed with it.
