Hi DreadKhan!
Than you for the ideas! I really like the ones you mentioned, seems great Vorthos targets for the Lich, a so much valuable object like the Crown it's perfect target haha Following the "empire" cycle you mentioned: Hand of Vecna, Eye of Vecna and The Book of Vile Darkness seem great and flavour objectives.
I like all the indestructible artifacts: Stuffy Doll, Creepy Doll, Darksteel Axe, Darksteel Citadel, Darksteel Forge, Darksteel Ingot, Darksteel Juggernaut, Darksteel Pendant, Darksteel Plate, Colossus of Akros, Darksteel Colossus, Darksteel Myr, Darksteel Relic, Kaldra Compleat, Shield of Kaldra, Necron Monolith, That Which Was Taken. I do not note the worse indestructible cards
The arficat lands as you say it would be great, at least I can be use the mono-black artifact lands (maybe there's only one).
If it was dimir or golgari I could use more liches but I can't, it's a pitty

have you considered the new coloured artifact lands like Mistvault Bridge? it means you play out lich on turn three without having needed to drop darksteel equipment first
the would also allow you to splash for blue for Ensoul Artifact which would could act as backup copy's of lich
personally i also like the vecna set in mon B artifact list but that's just because is fun rather than hyper practical Eye of Vecna, Hand of Vecna, The Book of Vile Darkness worth noting that hand of vecna is also a solid pump equipment

Theorycrafting a nonsense The Book of Vile Darkness deck ATM.
I exile a Mechanized Production card under Vecna using The Book of Vile Darkness' activated ability and type- and name-changing shenanigans. I turn Vecna into a noncreature artifact - Equipment (but not an enchantment or Aura). I attach it to an artifact creature. Will Vecna's triggered ability from the Mechanized Production trigger at the beginning of my upkeep, or will the game not consider the attached creature enchanted, since Vecna is not an enchantment - Aura?
If the latter, will later turning Vecna into an enchantment but not an Aura cause it to trigger?

I don't run Mairsil, the Pretender but I feel like we get a handful of cards with activated abilities that are worth using assuming we aren't going for peak efficiency and casual fun.
From DnD alone I would consider these depending on how I built the deck:
- Inferno of the Star Mounts
- The Book of Vile Darkness (Not sure about the rulings on this but I think it works)
- Wizard's Spellbook
- The Deck of Many Things
- Treasure Chest
Some other sets:
- Emry, Lurker of the Loch
- The Cauldron of Eternity
- Kaza, Roil Chaser
- Lithoform Engine
- Rootha, Mercurial Artist (Actually think this has good synergy to recast for the triggered ability)
But also just because a commander doesn't get new cards worth putting in doesn't mean it can't be fun. There are tons of fringe commanders that are fun building just because they lack support.

Okay. I'm convinced and have found my new religion. Consider me henceforth a Cleric of the Card and Dice Gods.
My buddy and I cracked a bundle each to draft with. Sure it's not a proper draft but it's cheaper and you get a much larger pool of cards to pick from.
