Teferi's Realm

World Enchantment

At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player chooses artifact, creature, land, or non-Aura enchantment. All nontoken permanents of that type phase out.

Mechanized Production + Ugin's Nexus does not work on it's own as Ugin's Nexus would prevent you from taking the extra turn. You need to add something to remove the enchanted Nexus or its ability without destroying it:

Have you considered making room for Fork , Reverberate , and Increasing Vengeance ? You are already running Ral, Storm Conduit .

You are also running Splinter Twin , Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker , and Twinflame so could think of including Teferi's Realm . Idk if keeping spare tokens after phasing out after combat is too cute, but it does keep things off the board to sorcery speed removal as well. Finally, maybe include a Stifle or similar effect. Nothing better than blanking an opponents fetch, or and this is real spicy hitting the storm trigger that adds the copies to the stack. Combo taps out to tendrils you and you just get drained by the one copy. I don’t think it’s so low in utility that this scenario is Christmas land. Nothing there that will break the budget too badly.

I love a good chaos deck and I really like some of your card choices, but it does seem like you're going in a few different directions at the same time. You seem to have a mix of wheel effects (Wheel of Fate, group hug (Mana Cache), group slug (War's Toll) and general chaos (Teferi's Realm) going on. I think I would try to focus more on one or two of those themes.

I think with any chaos deck one of your key decisions you have to make is if you even want a win condition. I have a chaos deck (Chaotic Neutral Goats) where the where the best win condition is getting lucky with Scrambleverse, but I don't play that deck to win, I play to create crazy game states and I consider it a 'win' if the game state gets so crazy that everyone agrees to call a draw. I also only play that deck when everyone at the table wants that kind of game.

I think good adds for your deck might be:

Perplexing Chimera - It makes everyone have to think twice about every spell they cast.

Grip of Chaos - Targeted removal? Hah!

Scrambleverse - This can actually be a win-con if you're lucky enough!

Thieves' Auction - A fun way to balance out everyone's board states.

Vedalken Orrery and Leyline of Anticipation - Being able to drop the chaos unexpectedly is really great.

If you're looking for a different commander and you'd like to stay Izzet I'd recommend Jhoira of the Ghitu to power out some of those expensive spells earlier.

Also, thanks for sharing your deck! I really like Custody Battle but I'd never seen it before!

We have a lot of overlap with our strategies Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer Token Swarm

Only one suggestion I don't think this deck should be without: Teferi's Realm (read the oracle text!)

I disagree that Arcane Laboratory makes it difficult for you to establish your lock. Sure, it hinders you, but you're running a gigantic number of counterspells - it limits how your opponents use the extra cards you give them, and means you only have to hold up one counterspell per opponent to fully lock down the game. It's a vicious, vicious control card, especially since you're giving your opponent more resources with Kami. I'd also consider Damping Sphere for a similar reason.

I'd personally run Stifle and/or Disallow here, because they shut off enemy fetch lands and are an unexpected form of control (since many people see their triggers as inviolable).

Have you considered Teferi, Temporal Archmage as additional an way to maintain a lock with Stasis? Or Teferi's Realm to perma-phase things out of existence? If you're willing to control into the long-game, Tidal Force also does wonders to keep the flowing for Stasis.

I was going through just looking at Teferi's Realm cards and what people had to say. I actually use it as a win condition for one of my decks with Merciless Eviction because you can phase out and get rid of everyones stuff but your own. works even better with Teferi's Protection. I do it with a few wraths. whatever i have saved up and can play then so a super board wipe and come back to swing. What I run in my Gods Deck

Finally, if you want to spice up your games with just a little bit of chaos, Eye of the Storm and Psychic Battle are just the right amount of chaos to make fun games that still fit your group hug theme, so long as the only things you feed into the Eye of the Storm are friendly group hug instants and sorcery spells, and maybe a single copy of a counterspell.

in paper feel free to add a copy of Teferi's Realm or Teferi's Protection I've no experience with the latter on mtgo, but the former is currently bugged and I cannot in good faith recommend you try it if you're an online player.
