Sorin of House Markov
Legendary Creature — Human Noble
Lifelink
Extort (Whenever you cast a spell, you may pay . If you do, each opponent loses 1 life and you gain that much life.)
At the beginning of your postcombat main phase, if you gained 3 or more life this turn, exile this, then return him to the battlefield transformed under his owner's control.

wallisface on Brew ideas for Scrawling Crawler

Another very rough idea, deliberately not using OneRing as it might be gone in a month, and none of this list makes any sense in a world where it still exists.
- 21x Lands
- 4x Orcish Bowmasters
- 3x Sorin of House Markov Flip
- 4x Scrawling Crawler
- 3x Boggart Trawler Flip
- 4x Sheoldred, the Apocalypse
- 3x Birthing Ritual
- 4x Necrodominance
- 3x March of Wretched Sorrow
- 4x Soul Spike
- 4x Fatal Push
- 3x Thoughtseize

To get your deck to 60 cards, I would recommend Sorin of House Markov Flip. It provides a lot of flexibility in as well as a dangerous threat.
Some other thoughts looking at your current list:
-
I know you say you already have a sideboard, but is there a reason it’s not listed here? Sideboards are as-important as the mainboard, so I would’ve thought you’d want feedback on both?
-
As has been already mentioned, your landbase is suboptimal. I would suggest not running more than 2-of each kind of basic. A playset of Concealed Courtyard would do wonders here.
-
both Kaya's Guile and March of Otherworldly Light feel more like niche sideboard options than valid mainboard tech. Their applications are both niche and matchup dependant, and they are both fairly mana-hungry compared to a lot of other interaction. I’d suggest running stuff like Fatal Push, Thoughtseize, or (if you can assemble the manabase to support them) Prismatic Ending and Leyline Binding.
-
I’m really not convinced by Walking Ballista here. Yes it is super-strong with Heliod, but you’re only running 2 of each and Ballista is practically a dead card whenever it’s not comboing off. Furthermore, the play-pattern for the Heliod/Ballista combo is often quite mana intensive (because you need to avoid Ballista sitting on the field long enough to get killed), and your land count is super-low.

- Your deck has only 57 cards.
- Your mana base is bad. 5 Swamps is an overkill when you play Auriok Champion and Voice of the Blessed. You don't need more than 1 Swamp to cast all your spells. I suggest playing 2 Fetid Heath, and fill the rest with other Fetch lands. Grimclimb Pathway Flip also exists.
- Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose is a legend. When you play 4, you risk having dead card. I would go down by 1 or 2. Replace it with Sorin of House Markov Flip.

So, quick revisions log;
Out:
Mirror Entity (love this card but my strategy has evolved a little and late game huge mana dumps could just be going to more vamps as I have more draw power now)
Rakish Heir (He was just okay in a deck where 3 mana cards are mostly game-changing)
Cover of Darkness and Reconnaissance (Quite useful, but I've started to prefer brute force and anthem buffs over blanket evasion)
In:
Sorin of House Markov Flip (Not 100% sold on him but I'm trying out some new toys and he seems rather popular, just wish he were a vampire)
Chthonian Nightmare (reusable recursion, low cost, yes please. Suits sacrifice combos very nicely)
Fell the Profane Flip (33rd land, killspell if I need it)
Wheel of Fortune (I finally got one and frankly I like it much more than Pact of the Serpent)
@Vessiliana your thoughts? Decided to bring back Phyrexian Altar given it's possibly the best combo piece if I want to spam Clavileno's demons.

@Vessiliana who/what would you suggest I cut for Chthonian Nightmare and Sorin of House Markov Flip?

With the upcoming Mh3, there’s two cards you may want to consider fitting into this brew: Sorin of House Markov Flip, and Guide of Souls.
I really strongly feel like your mainboard needs 22 (maybe even 23?) lands instead of 21.
As far as your sideboard goes, it feels like you are particularly weak to the opponents interaction and/or combo strategies. In that vein i’d run something like:
-
3x Damping Sphere to deal with Tron, Amulet, Storm
-
2x Necromentia to give you some degree of answer for combo, as well as further messing with Tron.
-
2x Pithing Needle to stop Yawgmoth getting free wins, and hindering various other effects
-
3x Rest in Peace for graveyards
-
when Mh3 comes out, 3x Flare of Fortitude to keep your board healthy and protect your key creatures
-
2x Kataki, War's Wage for artifacts.
————————————
In relation to some of the cards already in your sideboard selection, i’d suggest against them for the following reasons:
-
Stony Silence doesn’t do enough to artifacts decks, as many don’t use activated abilities too often - namely this hurts Scales, but not-really Affinity.
-
Inquisition of Kozilek is good against control and some kinds of combo. But only being able to hit 3-or-less mana makes this awkward against both. Combo decks you should already have answers for with my above suggestions. I don’t see this deck beating control whatever it does, so i don’t think there’s point trying to fight it with this card.
-
Kor Firewalker is only useful versus burn. Your deck should have absolutely no problem beating burn naturally, so this isn’t needed.
-
Sanctifier en-Vec feels like overkill if you’re already running Rest in Peace. Furthermore, it’s more red-hate in a deck already generally positioned well against a lot if red gameplans
-
Ghost Quarter i’m not sure why you’re running this? I assume for tron, but this really won’t slow them down enough to matter, and is more likely to mess with your own tempo.
-
Surgical Extraction is generally only good versus combo, but requires being in a deck with a LOT if ways to force discard/mill so you can reliably exile what you need to.
