I was trying to make the ever so useless Silkenfist Fighter playable. However now I have a lot of questions regarding Combat Damage effects....
1) Reconnaissance allows you remove a creature from combat. If Laccolith Grunt was blocked does it ALSO remove his damage effect too?
2) From what I read Combat Damage is strictly the damage from attackers and blockers in the Combat damage step. So you cannot use Curse of Stalked Prey and Arcane Teachings to "ping" damage to get the bonus since it does not count.
3) Is this following scenario correct? I have a Silkenfist Fighter with Arcane Teachings attached. I also control Reconnaissance and Always Watching . Can I declare attackers, then ping for 1 damage. Then if blocked Silkenfist Fighter untaps, so I can ping for another 1 damage. Here I can continue to attack OR withdraw from combat with Reconnaissance and ping for the 3rd and final time. Is this correct?
