Alkadron on PDH(R) - Syr Carah the Bold

Spell_Slam I think you're wrong on almost all counts. The burn spell is the opposite of bad with Syr Carah in play, even without any dragons as payoffs: it's just a bunch of extra Sizzle s. Each of them is 3 mana for 9 damage and (impulse-)draw three cards. That's absurd by itself. Getting to play lots of them is outstanding.

That they sometimes turn into a FREE Rapacious Dragon (this deck needs burst mana) or Scion of Ugin (4/4 fliers are fine) or Furnace Whelp (Firebreathing fliers make good closers in a deck that can hit massive quantities of mana easily) is just an added bonus. Lightning Dragon is the fourth best dragon for us; it's cute but not super powerful.

The decision I need to make now is whether to create a completely separate Carah deck that's just 6 dragons. 45 Approaches, and 48 mana cards, or whether to try to squeeze the four good dragons and 10-12-ish Approaches into this deck. XD

Gidgetimer Fantastic! I actually knew they changed colorless to generic and made a colorless symbol - forgot! lol. As for Shatterstorm and Scion of Ugin those were just random references for examples. Although now I'm wondering if actual colorless like Kozilek, the Great Distortion would still be ok with a Feather, the Redeemed Commander Deck. +1 for the answer btw!

Colorless is not a color. Since neither Shatterstorm , nor Scion of Ugin contain colors that Feather, the Redeemed does not they are both legal in a Feather deck.

As an aside, since it may come up at some point. Neither Shatterstorm nor Scion of Ugin require any colorless mana. Starting with Battle for Zendikar they have differentiated between colorless and generic. Both of the mentioned cards have generic mana in their mana cost. Colorless is denoted by the symbol as on Spatial Contortion and Kozilek, the Great Distortion

I'm wondering not just for Feather but overall - Can I use a card that also have a colorless cost along with a colored cost that matches my commander, like Shatterstorm ? And what about only colorless cost cards like Scion of Ugin , can they be used in a Feather, the Redeemed Commander deck as well?

@legendofa: All right; 4 then. I suppose I'll decide the fifth for myself then. Even though Mono Colors Already have 5 Personality Traits. Speaking of which, for : I'm already confused about 2 terms; One, does being Metaphysical mean you are incompatible w/ reality; & if not, what term does? Same for a word w/ this definition: "Existing outside of our understanding of the world.". If you wanted to know; is all Eldrazi, no Artifice, & no Walkers. The latter 2 in my book are nothing but a cheat to me; but Scion of Ugin , & Ugin's Conjurant . Just wondering if you're also interested in this as well. I'll find the Terms for Ravnican Personalities myself; & failing thus far... X/

Sorry to post here out of the blue, but I still wanted your opinions on the terms representing each Color Identity.

1: Now the Ravnica Pairs are implemented, I've yet to find a term that is based on definition of the stuff I wanted to mention, but couldn't find anything of the sort. Any ideas for them, and/or can you find any better?

2: 4 Color Groups don't seem to have any idea for exactly 5 Traits each. What do you think those 5 Personality Traits should be each?

3: For , I refrained from using Artifice, & Walkers. Only Eldrazi (If they have color, they must also have Devoid.), & stuff like Scion of Ugin , Ugin's Conjurant , but NOT Morophon, the Boundless (Said Genderless Mass of Nrvnqsr-Chaos/Nero-Chaos Primordial Godhood); its Five Colors technically. But I'm still unsure about two terms in this case: Metaphysical (Not sure if this means it isn't compatible w/ reality; & if not, what word does?), & (Some Word defined as "Existing outside of our understanding of the world."). Yep, just 2 of Ugin's Apparitions, Devoid users, nothing Walker, of Artifact based; at all. But what Eldrazi-Esque Personality Traits Names would work for Non-Artifact/Walker cards?

4: If has no Personality at all, should I keep it? At least Arcum's Astrolabe 's only Mana Cost should do some Justice... (UPDATE: there is another mana cost; & has legs: Icehide Golem . Can't believe I forgot this Marshmallow .)

5: I wanted each trait to be different for each Color Identity as a whole. Do you think this is possible, or should other Color Combos have an already existing trait from another identity? I just want this to be as unique as possible; that's all.

6: If you do plan to do 3 Color Identities' Personality Traits also, then I'll be very damned if one can find an alliance for all 5 Conventional Colors at one time (). Don't worry, I'll still give you credit for your help on this. :D

Sorry I've been asking you a lot; I'm just interested in this; I hope you didn't reject my offer to finish it here; I do apologize for being a nagging fool. So, is the project still alive? Y/N?

Hey there, legendofa. Just finished the 2 Color Identity Traits. I just have several things I wanted to note:

Switched out Blightherder for Eldrazi Obligator . Herder is super fun, but without a playset of Relics in the mainboard, on top of some lower CMC exile spells, it's just too hard to fuel it correctly.

Blisterpod out for a 2x of Talisman of Impulse . I liked being able to cast Kozilek's Return without being worried about losing my ramp, but I think the benefit really ended there. For the sake of the removal package I need to be able to make both green and red, and Birds was barely cutting it either.

Scion of Ugin is a placeholder for new Ugin. I think it works well with the new Karn, and with the number of colorless and Devoid spells I have in the deck, the cost reduction will be put to good use.
