Scars of the Veteran
Instant
You may exile a white card from your hand rather than pay Scars of the Veteran's mana cost.
Prevent the next 7 damage that would be dealt to target creature or player this turn. At the beginning of the next end step, put a +0/+1 counter on that creature for each 1 damage prevented this way.

DreadKhan what are your thoughts on Kjeldoran Phalanx, Lost Order of Jarkeld, Seraph or Sworn Defender? To me I love running playsets of 4 for the most chance of drawing a card. I think these would be great but I’m not sure what I would pick. Seraph is pretty cool for taking over creatures, Sworn defender sounds great for defense, and lost order of jarkeld and kjeldoran phalanx seem somewhere in the middle of good offense and defense. kjeldoran phalanx seems pretty good because banding but LOoJ has higher potential being a 1+X/1+X. I partly like Kjeldoran Escort for being a 2/3 with banding so I can divide damage equally amongst them, making them a little beefy as defenders. Hell I just run them like a 2 cost card for that so I can have a better 4 cost. I’ll pop out Scars of the Veteran and make them or something else that much tougher, resulting in a greater band.

Scars of the Veteran . Infinite Reflections is fun if your opponent makes a massive dragon or something. Suddenly your walls don't need your boss.

Scars of the Veteran might be fun in this deck.
Sword of the Paruns gives effectively gives Doran vigilance as well as a Overrun for your board every turn.
