Sanctified Charge

Instant

Creatures you control get +2/+1 until end of turn. White creatures you control also gain first strike until end of turn. (They deal combat damage before creatures without first strike.)

Great idea for a deck!

I see you put in tons of ways to blink your Commander, but not many ways to actually leverage the advantage of having tons of goats in play. I would recommend adding in as many mass pump spells as you can to end the game with your Goat army.

A few suggestions: Guardians' Pledge, Inspired Charge, Righteous Charge, Ramosian Rally and Kytheon's Tactics are all relatively cheap and powerful pump spells for your team. There's also Marshaling Cry, Charge and Sanctified Charge if you want to go a bit deeper.

Wayfarer's Bauble is your main picture, but it is not in your deck. This would be a good inclusion.

You have a lot fo enchantment hate. Any particular reason why? You could be running more effective, broader removal instead, like Oblivion Ring, Faith's Fetters, Angelic Purge and Isolation Zone. Some of these can also be blinked or bounced to retarget more important permanents in the future. In terms of creature removal, Journey to Nowhere is an important piece you are missing. There are also many interesting Pacifism-style effects to choose from in terms of removal. It will also work well with your Commander's Chroma ability.

With all of your blink effects, I don't think you need to include any other protection spells. Something like Indestructible Aura just doesn't seem necessary.

hahaha, amazing. My favorite part is the name. (And that says a lot.)

Consider Righteous Charge , or Inspired Charge , or Sanctified Charge ?

Also, this probably goes without saying, but please be careful of Goatnap .

With all the mana doubleers you have, You wouldnt need to hold as many lands open for your instant speed cards. Cut Seedborn Muse . Also Replace Sanctified Charge charge with Inspired Charge . Its not as mana heavy, and when only one creature can be blocked, first strike won't matter. Also Cut Heartwood Storyteller , since you have 58 cards that will make opponents draw cards when they are cast. Also there are 11 cards which give a static buff to your board. Maybe cut some of the low impact ones, like Glorious Anthem or Benalish Marshal , since just +1/+1 isn't as impactful as some of the other anthems.

I wouldn't dilute your deck too much for a wincon, so I'd recommend something like Inspired Charge, Kytheon's Tactics or Sanctified Charge. Just swing with a full board.

Revision 2: At this point, you're much more cohesive, but still haven't quite reached a strong synergy.

You should probably sideboard your Day of Judgment and Ghostly Prison to use against creature-heavy/tribal decks (like slivers), and for your general day-to-day use, you should use some cheap, targeted removal (a favorite modern-legal card of mine for this is Declaration in Stone, especially against token swarm decks, but you could use Swords to Plowshares). Day of Judgment + Knight Exemplar is strong, but Day of Judgment can sit in your hand if you don't draw the other piece of the combo, and that can suck if you have dudes on the field.

Knight of the White Orchid is begging to be a part of this deck, btw.

You've got a lot of knights coming out, and that's strong, but what you could really use to push in the damage is a card that boosts all your dudes for maximum damage when they charge as a team. Kytheon's Tactics is strong for this, but it's a Sorcery, so Inspired Charge or Sanctified Charge might be the better call.

DemonDragonJ on Khalim, Master of Many

Some time ago, I had an idea to make cards that became more powerful if a player controlled a certain permanent, so I spent time refining that idea, and I produced a legendary creature who has several signature spells, which are acceptable on their own, but become much more powerful if their creator is present (symbolizing from a flavor perspective that the creator can cast their own spells much more effectively than can another mage).

The creator of this spells is mage named Khalim, who became bored of studying only one form of magic and traveled far and wide to learn many different styles of magic, eventually devising his own signature spells. I have not developed a more detailed backstory for Khalim than that, but I do not need to do so, at the present time. Due to his many years of studying, Khalim has devised a spell of each color, and they are as follows:

Khalim's Anger Show

This card takes inspiration from Urza's Rage, Sizzle, and Pyroclasm, dealing a greater amount of damage, which becomes unpreventable, if Khalim is present.

Khalim's Might Show

Without Kahlim, this card is strictly worse than Overrun, although I did make its casting cost less strict to balance that. However, with Khalim, it becomes strictly better than overrun. I know that menace is usually associated with black and red creatures, but I believe that it makes sense from a flavor perspective in this case, especially considering that Bellowing Tanglewurm gives green creatures intimidate.

Khalim's Spite Show

This card is modeled after Wit's End, but with both a lower, albeit stricter, mana cost, as well as additional effects, since I believe that that card is simply too expensive for too little of an effect.

Khalim's Valor Show

This card is intended to be a combat trick, akin to Aerial Maneuver, Call to Glory, Glorious Charge, Guardians' Pledge, Mighty Leap, Break of Day, Inspired Charge, Sanctified Charge, Show of Valor, Hold the Line, and so forth. Should there be an "untap all creatures that you control" clause, so that it can be used defensively as well as offensively?

Khalim's Will Show

Without Khalim, this card is exactly the same as Cancel, one of the worst counterspells in the game, but, with Khalim, it is better than Dismiss; with that being said, should I reduce the number of cards drawn to a specific number, such as one or two?

After seeing these cards, I imagine that the anticipation for Khalim himself must be very high, so, without further ado, here he is, in all of his glory:

Khalim, Master of Many Show

Khalim himself can find one of his own spells, so he naturally has great synergy with them. His having hexproof and prowess are indicators of his immense magical skill, but I knew that I would need to keep his power and toughness low to balance those abilities. His "draw and discard" ability represents his ability to find a new solution by abandoning a previous one.

What does everyone think about these cards? How well did I do with them? Do you have any suggestions for them?

Cards I recommend are: Lone Missionary Lone Rider  Flip Nyx-Fleece Ram Blessed Alliance Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim Rest for the Weary Path of Bravery Shambling Vent Fiendslayer Paladin Cliffhaven Vampire

Card I think you should take out are: Tireless Missionaries Gravepurge Rotfeaster Maggot Auramancer Solemn Offering Sanctified Charge

I'm assuming your new to magic so your goal is most likely a casual deck with no specified format. You main focus should be on Ajani's Pridemate and Lone Rider  Flip and find ways to gain life quickly and efficiently. I feel like the cards I recommended are a good start, but there is definitely more to pick form as well. So try to experiment with those cards and see how it goes. I hope this helped a bit.

Crayfish on Opinions of my personal starter …

I've always wanted to make some simple 40-card beginner decks to teach people how to play, and with the combination of me moving to a new school district and my girlfriend saying she is willing to learn, I have finally built them. I would like your opinions on them, and if they seem easy enough for a newer player to understand. (As a note, I tried to include a wide cast of keywords to emphasize the diversity of the game.)

Each deck has 17 lands and one rare, which the deck is themed around
