Good article berryjon! As always a pleasure to read!

For our Orcish Party, I'd surely recommend Orc General as the Warrior and leave Rogue hiring for someone else :)

Generally, I'd see Orcs as overlords of Goblin mob, using them as a resource for gaining power and overwhelming enemy. That would match their direction to explore their nature on top of power and savageness.

It would also make a distinguishment between them and Minotaurs which tend to work more around Blightning effects as I see them.

Also, it would comply with recently present Gruesome Scourger and Orcish Vandal like cards.

You might have better luck ditching the Orcish Vandal plan and instead just casting Gravecrawler or Squee, the Immortal over and over again to trigger Burning Vengenace, possibly with a sac outlet like Barrage of Expendables to deal more damage (probably a better sac outlet, couldn't think of one though). Alternatively, as said by TheDuggernaught, Havengul Lich + Heartless Summoning +Priest of Urabrask/Perilous Myr is infinite. Priest requires a Vengenace, Impact Tremors, or infinite mana dump to actually win though.

Suns_Champion on Dominaria Art and Flavor text!

Hello everyone! Did this for Rivals of Ixalan and had a lot of fun, so here's my line up for the best art and flavor text from Dominaria! Enjoy!

Art:

My #1 favorite art. Nothing beats the confident, satisfied posture and face of a drop-dead gorgeous woman. I am easily distracted by shiny things. The lighting and shadow work is great here! This one really spoke to me. It's so somber, and a great callback to Teferi's Protection. This one really feels like a classic painting. The way the clouds frame the Knight is awesome!Gift of Orzhova 2.0! Beautiful! Here's the first Saga art. Was tempted to put all of them because they're all great. This one is my favorite. This one is just so cool. Another Saga, love how futuristic and yet ancient this feels. Looks like Teferi is blasting a fireball away with... a glass cocoon? Awesome!I love removal art... seeing stuff in the middle of being destroyed is sweet! More saga! Love the darkened face of Bolas and how swirly and loose it feels!Joseph Meehan made gore look beautiful. Love the Phyrexian text. I'm biased because I got a foil version... It's great.I like the lighting of this piece. I like the feeling of the Knight being enclosed by the forest.

Flavor text:

My favorite is Zhalfirin Void, but Short Sword, Damping Sphere, Slimefoot, the Stowaway, Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain, Sergeant-at-Arms, Syncopate, Eviscerate, Dub(the whole card is pure flavor), Fire Elemental, Orcish Vandal, Yargle, Glutton of Urborg, Squee, the Immortal are all great too!

All in all, I think Dominaria has had some of the best art in years, and the Saga portrait art frame is an interesting and very cool twist.

I probably have stalked enough. Let me know what your favorite art and flavor text was from Dominaria!

RazortoothMtg on So what sealed color archetypes …

Ya, pretty much what LittleBlueHero said, although there are archetypes across all ten color pairs. I think the draft uncommons are

: Raff Capashen, Ship's Mage for historic

: Slimefoot, the Stowaway for sacrifice/saprolings

: Shanna, Sisay’s Legacy for go wide and tall at the same time

: Tatyova, Benthic Druid for lands matters. although lands matter doesn't have much support for that as a theme, so probably more of a ramp archetype

: Arvad the Cursed? Maybe it's legends matter here, as well as go wide. I think WB has more uncommon legends than the other colors

The other color pairs have some stuff too.

: Adeliz, the Cinder Wind and Wizards as a whole is a pretty clear archetype here.

: Hallar, the Firefletcher. Kicker theme seems pretty fun, and there are other support cards like Bloodstone Goblin

: Garna, the Bloodflame I guess? Not sure what the archetype for this is, maybe it's meant for the GB aristocrats deck if you want to go Jund?

: Rona, Disciple of Gix is... historic I guess? I think this too is for if you're playing UW Historic and want to go Esper

: Tiana, Ship's Caretaker is Equipment and auras. A good amount of support between this, Valduk, Keeper of the Flame, Champion of the Flame, Danitha Capashen, Paragon, etc. Also Orcish Vandal seems pretty good with Tiana

Also, are there any good combos for draft? Tiana, Ship's Caretaker with an equipment and Orcish Vandal seems like a good combo. Anything else?
