Am I missing something? Why are you running an Obelisk of Naya in an Esper deck?

I've had several Mayael builds over the years. Usually, I focus on ramp, because Mayael's ability costs quite a bit to activate, rather than just dumping cards onto the field. I'll link a couple of my decks here, and maybe it will give you some ideas for alternative budget cards you could use. I have several older builds, but they definitely need updating. Overall, Obelisk of Naya is a solid mana rock for this deck, although less optimal. Somberwald Sage is solid, but not budget. Krosan Restorer can also come in handy. Good luck!

These are some of the cards I'm going to take out soon for cards that synergize better with my token strategy. Also I'm taking out some of the mana rocks in favor of more lands. End Hostilities, Obelisk of Naya, Mirrorpool, Healer's Hawk, Wakening Sun's Avatar, Stone Quarry, Seer's Lantern, Hedron Crawler, Gruul Guildgate, Fleetfeather Sandals, Slice in Twain, Siege Wurm, Gruul Signet, Boros Guildgate.

Some improvements for the decks after messing with it. Noticed that the biggest counter to the deck is control. Currently takes quite a lot to get the deck going, and having stuff blow up sucks. Definitely turn 4 (or earlier if you can ramp) get Tana out, and next turn play Sidar and start swinging with Tana to start getting saprolings out ASAP.Early game needs to focus on ramping and getting both commanders out and pumping out Saprolings ASAP. I noticed that hydras were a bit of dead draws. I never really wanted to play them over buffing on Tana.

Card Draw:Skullclamp Can use a few saprolings for good card drawHunter's Insight Play this on Tana. Worst case 2 cards, best case a lot more (if she's buffed)Keen Sense While only one card, 1 mana for guaranteed card draw per turn is nice.Regal Force Luckily Saprolings are green, so this can be a juicy card drawer.Fecundity With skullclamp = lots of cards. Otherwise a board wipe isn't an issue eitherSlate of Ancestry Gets rid of that bad hand for more cards, especially if hand is getting empty.

Buff Cards (replacing some blood rush could be helpful):
Chorus of Might
Intangible Virtue Can be beneficial if you only apply 1 buff to saprolings (so they cant be blocked)Might of the Masses Give Tana a huge buff for 1 mana
Triumph of the Hordes Can easily win with infect, or kill people with it
Brave the Sands Have an army of blockers and attackers constantlyGratuitous Violence Double damage without double strike

More Saprolings:Second Harvest
Parallel LivesPrimal Vigor
Verdant Force This one is amazing
Selesnya Evangel Helps get the early saprolings out.
Growing Ranks Again 1 saproling per turnSecure the Wastes While not saprolings, you can just make some soldiers instantly

More removal:Aura Shards This will shit on Zur so hard.

More ramp (Accelerates game, mana fixes, and reduces chance of annoying land draw):Harvest Season Swing in with saprolings and Tana and double landObelisk of Naya Fixes mana a bit since it is 3 colorsExplore
Natural Growth

Nature's Lore Pair this with one of those dual color cards that have Forest type for good mana fixing

Land:Getting some more dual colored lands can be helpful. Especially those scry lands. Also potentially Naya Panorama if you think mana fixing could be useful (green has good ramp to do the fixing you would want anyway).

Planeswalker:Elspeth, Sun's Champion Does what you'd wantDomri Rade That ultimate wins you the game. The first power is good too for bloodrush/more bodies.

Run Cryptolith Rite in place of Obelisk of Naya and Domri Rade if you cant get them Springleaf Drum is good instead. Domri Rade seems so out of place to me, if you had more creatures his +1 would be good, but even the -2 doesn't look like it is going to be very effective.

First of all if your ramping into door to nothingness you either want duel lands or tri lands and Mana rocks such as the various border posts or signets. Secondly you want a secondary win condition, and my advice is (staying in colourless theme) Darksteel Reactor. Although slow, many people will try to work out ways to eliminate it because it appears to be a threat. Finally you need more blockers to help protect your plan. Keeping theme, Etched Champion and Myr Servitor fit nicely here.

Bear Umbra so you can cast on your second main phase.
Sublime Archangel since this deck is a voltron (commander only) based deck.
Swords to Plowshares is a cheaper alternative to Path to Exile and let's face it, you'll be hitting hard enough!
Enlightened Tutor because aura decks are meant to make one big, unstoppable creature fast, and tutoring is the way to get that.
I also recommend removing taplands and return lands like Gruul Turf, they slow you down to much.
Chromatic Lantern instead of Obelisk of Naya for consistency.
Angelic Benediction another good exalted card.
Cultivate and Kodama's Reach are required cards for green decks, they're just TOO good. Explosive Vegetation is also a good one.

I know it's not exactly a good suggestion, but if you want to build a deck around attacking with a really buffed up aura creature, you could try switching commanders to someone like Rafiq of the Many. Running blue will allow you auras like Steel of the Godhead and Aqueous Form, as well as Finest Hour. Creatures like Bruna, Light of Alabaster and Sovereigns of Lost Alara are amazing aswell, especially Bruna as a commander.

Good luck sir!
