Liege of the Pit

Creature — Demon

Flying, trample

At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a creature other than Liege of the Pit. If you can't, Liege of the Pit deals 7 damage to you.

Morph (Black)(Black)(Black)(Black) (You may play this face down as a 2/2 creature for (3). Turn it face up any time for its morph cost.)

Add Crypt Ghast or Dark Ritual for mana ramp or go the full cheese factor and add tutors like Demonic Tutor or Shadowborn Apostle.

You have more chance of executing the ramp than you do the cheese tutors and Crypt Ghast serves two purposes which is hot chocolate

For destroy or removal look at Go for the Throat | Doom Blade | Bone Splinters | Disembowel | Sinister Concoction | Cast Down | Dreadbore | Terminate | Murderous Compulsion | Walk the Plank | Victim of Night.
I'd probably recommend 4 copies of either Go for the Throat or Walk the Plank because they get rid of mostly everything.

Demon Lords: Pestilence Demon | Liege of the Pit | Overseer of the Damned

Mostly just try and figure out what demon/s you want to build your deck around then choose cards that complement it

Killing Wave is amazing with Rayami. Practically a board wipe when you pump 5 or 6 mana into it. Plus it allows you to be selective with your stuff. I find it to be worth the slot. Also, morph creatures like Liege of the Pit and Belltoll Dragon are awesome. They die as face down 2/2's and when they do they're exiled face up granting rayami flying, trample, and hexproof

Lord of the Pit is an iconic card, and has inspired several similar cards, such as Liege of the Pit and Xathrid Demon, but I thought that it would be interesting if there was an aura that turned a creature into a lord of the pit, so here is what I devised.

Infernal Majesty Show

I made the mana cost of this card mirror that of Celestial Mantle, as this card is very heavily black in the way that that card is heavily white. As with the cards that inspired it, it requires careful strategy to properly use, but, as an aura, it could, theoretically, be put on an opponent's creature to hurt them.

What does everyone else think of this card?

Also, I would like to thank whoever devised the custom card tag, except that, when I attempted to use it, it did not work, so I still needed to type out everything manually.

(I would add a proper community card but that feature seems to be malfunctioning right now.)

Farly straightforward, this card would mostly be Zedruu the Greathearted (although a different character, not simply her gone evil or something) with a casting cost of and an activation cost of . In EDH, this could lead to some fun usage of cards like the following:

(I realize you can basically already do this with any Grixis commander + e.g. Bazaar Trader, but that's a bit less straightforward.)

I'm unsure what would be suitable for its upkeep ability. Just copying Zedruu's straight off isn't too inappropriate, as drawing is certainly associated with black and life gain isn't too far out either, but that's kinda boring. Replacing the life gain with something negative towards opponents like milling, discard or plain life loss proportional to the amount of gifted permanent could be one option that's more in line with the color change (thought the negative effects would probably targeted in order to preserve some political potential). Putting a +1/+1 counter per gift on Zedruu the Grixishearted to take advantage of commander damage could also work (especially when combined with auras like Herald of Torment), in which case you could also change power/toughness from the original's 2/4 to 4/2 to signal greater aggression.

For the sake of flavor its subtype would be Horse Djinn, with the artwork depicting a djinn with a mare's head, wearing a mouth-covering veil.

Feedback would be welcome, especially on ways to make Grixis!Zedruu more distinct from the original while still fulfilling the basic function of giving out torturous black cards, in addition to the blue and red ones they both share.

(A version containing green could also be made for the sake of giving that color a chance to show off its painful cards, in which case the creature in question should probably have monkey paws.)

Lord of the Pit, Liege of the Pit, or Xathrid Demon, plus any cards that give lifelink such as Gift of Orzhova, Eternal Thirst, Lifelink, Vampiric Link, or Felidar Umbra, to create a Griselbrand like cards. And it fits the theme of the deck.

I agree with previous comments mana curve is huge. You can smooth it out further with an Expedition Map to fish out the coffers, Wayfarer's Bauble, Crypt Ghast.I know its probable just for fun but Lord of the Pit, Liege of the Pit and Shadowborn Demon are all really bad... I suggest replacing them with Harvester of Souls, Kothophed, Soul Hoarder, and one of the mana accelerators
