legendofa, Oh, the possibilities. You could go voltron with Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist , Anara, Wolvid Familiar or Keleth, Sunmane Familiar , and you could also have an interesting build with Halana, Kessig Ranger , but I'd probably go with Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder . The whole time, though, I'd be wishing that Yannik, Scavenging Sentinel didn't have a specific partner.
Although, having him in there with Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker just to get the color identity to five colors would make for a pretty sick stax build.

I've amassed the following cards for specifically a soldier-themed deck, but I'm having trouble narrowing down the list for an appropriate deck, so I'd like to request advice and assistance. The general idea was to summon a bunch of soldier tokens, buff them, defeat opponents, but I keep stumbling into cards that would be 'cool' or 'awesome' with the theme. Here are the cards I am looking at:

I agree with ImaginitiveRascal and RedFlag. No reason not to run another white partner commander -- it's like starting the game with another card in your hand. You don't have to play it out if you end up with better things to in any given game. You have a few creatures with flying or trample, so I'd personally run Akroma, Vision of Ixidor. I could also see an argument for Keleth, Sunmane Familiar, Alharu, Solemn Ritualist, or even Radiant, Serra Archangel.

I added Knight of the White Orchid the cost of which fits the deck better. Infinite combos do not intend to put, play with friends and is not well regarded hahaha. Mana generators are a problem on the deck on the second turn I always want to put Keleth, Sunmane Familiar and on the third some equipment I've been thinking about putting Mox Amber and Verge Rangers

Whenever a black Wizard you control becomes tapped, choose one:
Untap target Wizard. You lose 5 life.
Draw a card. You lose 3 life.
Each opponent loses 1 life. You gain life equal to the amount of life lost in this way.
Some kind of Rube Goldberg machine could be created around this, I'm sure.

Peoni: Thank you!!! Great suggestions as usual :) I had actually been thinking about adding Knight of the White Orchid. Didn't know about Oreskos Explorer (I didn't use to keep track of non-modern legal releases haha) and I love it now! Definitely gonna add them. I'll keep Weathered Wayfarer in mind for future upgrades. Mask of Memory I just need to figure out what to take out for! Also trying to figure out which budget wraths I want, hehe.
And yeah, these partners are a lot of fun! They might take Tana's place. The deck feels a lot more solid and consistent, and being able to get some bigass equipments like Colossus Hammer on Rograkh consistently is just so awesome. It also doesn't hurt that I can build it for quite a bit cheaper! But all in all making all these decks and looking up cards for each of them really helped me get a feel for the format and to see what people play and why and it's definitely gonna help when I start playing it for real, not to mention it was a lot of fun.
M4dGun: Heh, thanks!!! Equipment decks are awesome, aren't they? Balan did seem like the strongest possible option, but I'm in love with this new pair that can start getting equipment on them turns earlier while being super gimmicky and unique (things I appreciate!). They miss out on the double strike but I think they make up for it with Rograkh's keyword soup and raw Kobold flavor, hahaha. I don't know about the rest of the internet but I think I was the first here on Tappedout to put together a monowhite list for Rograkh and I'm really proud of it haha. I started with Keleth, Sunmane Familiar, but as soon as Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist was spoiled I knew no partner was going to be better than him and that I just had to do it. Wouldn't be better Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist as commander instead of Keleth, Sunmane Familiar? With Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist you can put all the equipment for free on Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh. Also, I Would recomend you to try running Sram, Senior Edificer for card draw every time you play an equipment.
