Jeskai Infiltrator

Creature — Human Monk

Jeskai Infiltrator can't be blocked as long as you control no other creatures.

When Jeskai Infiltrator deals combat damage to a player, exile it and the top card of your library in a face-down pile, shuffle that pike, then manifest those cards. (To manifest a card, put it onto the battlefield face down as a 2/2 creature. Turn it face up at any tie for its mana cost if it's a creature card.)

Rhadamanthus on What happens if you steal …

I've been following this discussion but didn't get into it because I felt like the points that were brought up covered what needed to be done. A card can only go to its owner's library, so you have to account for that when randomizing the objects in the pile.

I had a thought after reading through all this again and found the following rulings note from the Gatherer entry for Jeskai Infiltrator:
2014/11/24: A card's owner is public information at all times. If the two cards you exile are owned by different players (perhaps because you gained control of a Jeskai Infiltrator owned by your opponent), which card is which is no longer hidden from your opponent. That player will know which face-down creature he or she owns.

The reference to "public information" means this ruling is also relying on the MTR to address the situation, since that's where the different classes of information are defined for tournament play (the CR doesn't approach information in this way). I have no idea why Triumph of Saint Katherine wasn't given a similar rulings note in its Gatherer entry.

Lord of Poison B R

Legendary Creature - Scorpion

Other scorpions you control get +1/+1.

Whenever a creature you control with menace attacks, target creature blocks it this turn if able.

Creatures you control with deathtouch have menace.

Deathtouch.

Definitely Mythic-level. Challenge: make a card that is somehow good with Jeskai Infiltrator.

SilentPlague on Cheap Bant Deck

Also, Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest and Jeskai Infiltrator. Prowess has potential for a combo of exalted in this deck and then Jeskai Infiltrator is already unblockable.

This deck performs very well with some decently large deficiencies. I think you need to cut some weaker cards (sorceries and creatures mostly) and add in more Ninjas and ninja synergies.

Cards to Cut: Creatures: Definite cuts are Jeskai Infiltrator, but I'd also heavily consider trimming Dark Impostor, Deathcult Rogue, Etrata, the Silencer, and Nezumi Cutthroat.

Sorceries: Definitely cut Hour of Eternity, Kefnet's Last Word, Paranoid Delusions and consider trimming Ghostform, Slip Through Space, or Stealth Mission.

Artifacts, Enchantments, Instants, Planeswalkers, and Lands: I would definitely cut Briber's Purse, Fatal Push, and Vraska, Scheming Gorgon while also giving thought to the merits of including Skygames, Bontu's Monument, Forge of Heroes, Unclaimed Territory, and of, or at least the Amonkhet, cycling lands.

The cards I have recommended are either slow, have low to zero synergy with the rest of the deck, or are typically weak in commander.

Cards to Add Creatures: Ninjas, ninjas, and more ninjas (plus some cheaper unblockables for good measure). There are 19 Ninjas in mtg history (excluding changelings). You have 11 in this deck. I think you ought to have more. The cheapest are Mistblade Shinobi, Okiba-Gang Shinobi, Skullsnatcher, Throat Slitter, and Walker of Secret Ways. Higure, the Still Wind and Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni are both reasonable splurges in terms of powerful Ninjas to acquire. Now for other creatures to enable Ninjitsu. First off, I could have included Changeling Outcast in the last section since it is also a Ninja and you should absolutely be running it in here. Other small unblockables for you to Ninjitsu into are Gudul Lurker, Slither Blade, Tormented Soul, Faerie Seer, Mothdust Changeling, Gingerbrute, Dimir Infiltrator, Baleful Strix, Invisible Stalker, Augury Owl, Sage Owl, Spire Owl, and Cloud of Faeries. All of these cards are less than 3 cmc, and are either entirely unblockable or have good etb/ltb or dealing combat damage synergy (and are mostly pretty cheap too). I'd recommend adding at least 3 or 4 of them in addition to the above ninjas.

Other cards: This section is mostly for general things that you could do to make this deck more consistent and enjoyable to pilot, but there are a couple specific synergies I think you're missing out on. They're both pretty intertwined so I'll just address them together. I think you could be putting in a few more cards that are good to reveal off of Yuriko's trigger and ways to manipulate the top of your library so you get those card when they are most impactful. I am referring to cards like Treasure Cruise, Sibsig Muckdraggers, Temporal Trespass, Dig Through Time, Draco, Consign / Oblivion, Murderous Cut, Far / Away, Curtains' Call, Into the Story, Submerge, Commandeer, Commit / Memory, Discovery / Dispersal, Rags / Riches, In Garruk's Wake, and any other high cost card that has an alternate mana cost, mana reducing ability, split card, or is a high impact card. Then you could also throw in a few ways to manipulate the top of your library like Brainstorm, Ponder, Serum Visions, Tamiyo's Epiphany, and Crystal Ball. The only other synegystic thing you could put in here is making your other creatures Ninjas as well with Conspiracy, Xenograft, Arcane Adaptation, and Amorphous Axe.

Otherwise, you could probably add in some more ramp (Sol Ring, Mind Stone, Star Compass, etc.), card draw (see cantrips above and Last Thoughts), board wipes (could probably replace Bontu's Last Reckoning with some of the ones from the last section or just add those ones or some other good boardwipes) and spot removal or counterspells (I don't see a lot of good ways to deal w/ non-creature permanents in here).

Yesterday on Morph shuffle?

Notably, Ghastly Conscription and Jeskai Infiltrator specifically instruct you to shuffle the face-down cards so that your opponents don't know which is which, as you're not allowed to do that after they're already on the battlefield.

Turtlemaster on Aminatou's Time Friends - Temporary

Okey, cool! Then I would firstly recommend to take away four lands since (mathematically) you only need about 36 lands to have a good enough chance to draw them without drawing too many at any given time (also depends on how you shuffle of course ;) ). Then I would also again recommend to take a look at my deck when it comes to which lands you should play to up those a notch since there are a lot of lands that aren't very useful (especially the double-lands with no other effects) in the precon.

Other cards I genereally recommend to take out other than the lands:

Crystal Ball

Seer's Lantern

Adarkar Valkyrie

Conundrum Sphinx

Duskmantle Seer

Enigma Sphinx

Geode Golem

Jeskai Infiltrator

Loyal Subordinate

Loyal Unicorn

Magus of the Balance

Ninja of the Deep Hours

Serra Avatar

Silent-Blade Oni

Sower of Discord

Army of the Damned

Skull Storm

Cloudform

Lightform

So these are cards that I don't feel are good enough for the deck idea (casual/budget or not) or simply lack theme-quality. Feel free to ask if you need help replacing these cards with the cards you have or find cards that could fit the deck! :)

Snickles@EDH_only Wow thanks, someone did their homework!!!! I’m also pretty fond of this deck I crammed all the morphs I opened in packs when I started playing in the onslaught block.

Obscuring AEther / Dream Chisel : I already get the morph discount from Animar, Soul of Elements rather easily.

Primordial Mist / Whisperwood Elemental / Thousand Winds : I’m trying to keep the mana curve on the low side.

Ixidor, Reality Sculptor aka Akroma, Angel of Wrath ‘s daddy: I don’t really need a lord and I have other ways of flipping morphs over and over again with Weaver of Lies and Master of the Veil .

Secret Plans / Trail of Mystery : Those cards are great I did not know they existed I’ll try to include them.

Jeskai Infiltrator : He will most likely never get to deal combat damage in my playgroup.

love the deck - Vesuvan Shapeshifter is one of my all-time faves!

odd cards you might consider:

Obscuring AEther and / or Dream Chisel - cost for morph reduction

Primordial Mist and / or Whisperwood Elemental - card "draw", free morph each turn

Secret Plans and / or Aphetto Runecaster - card draw for morphing

Trail of Mystery and / or Salt Road Ambushers - Creature boost for turning face up

Ixidor, Reality Sculptor - alternate morph cost, morph roiding

Voidmage Apprentice and / or Kheru Spellsnatcher - counterspell that doesn't require sacing a creature

Jeskai Infiltrator - free morphing draw when it hits

Thousand Winds - mass bounce
