Thank you Liquidbeaver & sdidonato for the feedback. I am about ready to swap 7 or 8 cards in my deck.

Liquidbeaver, have you seen what has gone on recently with the cost of Goblin Wizard . We were commenting on how expensive it was when it hit $40 to $60. With Reserve List cards being targeted it apparently showed a spike to almost $800 before settling in at $220. The price data is a little confusing. It seems to be out of stock most places.

Hello everyone! It's been a long time since my last real update, but I wanted to get in here and at least update the list. Primer update to come later!

Additions

Conspicuous Snoop: Pretty self explanatory, just a solid card for digging and comboing off.

Muxus, Goblin Grandee: Such a strong card that I focused on adding more goblins just so I could take advantage of this and Snoop more often. Combos especially well with Goblin Recruiter. The CMC is high, but we have a lot of ways to freecast it, especially with the recent re-addition of Goblin Wizard.

Skirk Fire Marshal: This is a card I feel like was in my first list, and I took it out really early on because I was new to Magic and getting my ass kicked all the time, so losing 10 life was a death sentence. Now with all the damage doublers (and a new tripler!), as well as having several years with the deck under my belt, I think I can take advantage of this again.

Fiery Emancipation: For 1 colorless more than Gratuitous Violence you get triple the damage and it effects all sources too, not just creatures. The thought of Ibsplosions for 12, or a Goblin War Strike easily breaking 100 damage is just exciting. Time will tell if the CMC is just too high. I think this is strong enough that I would probably add more ramp before I cut this due to cost. Maybe this will bring about the return of Mana Echoes?

Mind's Eye: Giving this thing another chance. It's a staple draw card in EDH for a reason. Again the cost of this is high, so it may be replaced by Thrill of Possibility or something.

Removals

Sensei's Divining Top: This is top tier filtering, I don't doubt that whatsoever, but as far as gameplay clunkiness it is also top tier. Mind's Eye took this slot so I wouldn't go down in draw sources.

Insult / Injury: The card that is always the easiest gap filler is also always the easiest card to remove.

Fervor: This is out simply because it is one dimensional. I'm really starting to get a lot of multi-use cards, and more haste sources than before (and a lower need for haste in general), so this unfortunately doesn't make the cut anymore.

Tectonic Reformation: Not as good in practice as I would have hoped. I built all of the deck to try to get as many cards as possible directly into play, and with the very low land count I hardly ever have lands in hand to actually use this. It probably does a lot more in the budget version of the deck then it does this one.

Wild Ricochet: Very fun card, but not something you can count on using because it relies so heavily on what other people play. Would definitely consider putting this back in after more testing.

Other Cards I Am Curious About

Goblin Charbelcher: Always wanted to have this in as an alternate wincon. Even when it doesn't hit hard, it is still consistent, targeted damage I don't often get. Looking for a slot for this ASAP.

Destructive Digger: This seems strong. Does anyone have experience with it? Especially with Goblin Welder or Crucible this becomes a very good draw engine. Also on the short list to be added.

Dockside Extortionist: I think this card has potential, but I am still leery about how it actually plays out. Potentially better than Mana Echoes though. Hilarious in decks with Mycosynth Lattice.

Molten Echoes: I initially misread this and was like AUTOINCLUDE, but after turning on my reading comprehension I realized it was nontoken only. However I do have quite a few gobbos floating around in the deck now, but the potentially they aren't cast is still high. Hmmmm.

Deflecting Swat: Thoughts on this? Seems like a really solid card all around.

Well that's it for now. Hopefully I get to play this again soon for more testing. I might have to buy into it on MTGO just to get a bunch of rounds in....

Let me know what you think about the changes!

Goblin Wizard for Goblin Settler ?

Purphoros, God of the Forge you would be able ping down your opponents on top of buffing your your goblins.

10/10 deck looks fun to play!

Hey there, I did think of Goblin Wizard but I think I didn't include it because you have to have the goblin in hand and often, our hand is pretty lean. It's a great card and I might give it another look.

In terms of the background, it's a little bit of css scripting. Message me on my profile, and I can explain further. :)

This is an awesome deck, love what you've done with it! Have you thought about Goblin Wizard ? Also, how did you do the background? I'd love to make my decks look cool like that. :]

Finally got some time to sit down and work through upgrades, and I am pretty happy with how it went.

Goblin War Party in for Beetleback Chief . I've never been that happy with ol' BBC (huehuehue) or Siege-Gang Commander for that matter. Maybe if I could recur them or capitalize on their ETB effects, but without that ability they are just costly token generators. I like the modality of War Party, and is a tiny mana sink too, which is nice.

Goblin Wizard in for Tears of Rage . Tears has been a flex slot for a while, and after Ashen0ne commented about it recently, it's really gotten me excited about the Wizard again, now that my deck works significantly better than it did when I first used him (~2 years ago).

Jaya, Venerated Firemage in for Outpost Siege . This is just a test, and Siege I've never gotten a lot of value out of. I don't normally like planeswalkers because they get hated out so quickly in my playgroup, but this is a pretty low-to-the-ground one that might stick a little easier since it doesn't have an ultimate.

Pashalik Mons in for Goblin Assassin . I love Assassin, and the flavor is hilarious and fitting for this deck, but politically I can't handle running it in my playgroup. I'm taking it out now for the same reason I did a year or so ago, people hate flipping coins or rolling dice to see if their creatures die, and when they have to do it for every Goblin I make they hate it even more, which gets me focused more than I like.

Tectonic Reformation in for Light Up the Stage . Just a stronger potential draw effect period. I'm pretty excited about this card, especially how early it comes down.

Goblin Engineer in for Insult / Injury . Not absolutely sure about this one, as I really like Insult. Maybe if Jaya doesn't work out I will put this back in her place.

Still considering Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin , but I'm trying to make sure he doesn't suffer from Goblin Piledriver Syndrome, which is that in my deck it is only good when Ib isn't out, and Ib is out pretty frequently. The fact that Krenko is worth at least 3 bodies may make him fit sort of what was the Beetleback Chief slot, with the potential that he gets better the longer he stays. Maybe I will test him before Goblin War Party just to see.

Thank you for the suggestions and for the +1.

Fortunately I got my Goblin Wizard when it was $6. I have been casually playing for a while but I am a novice just starting to understand how to play. I was looking at the Goblin Wizard yesterday and thinking, I can use this to put Krenko onto the battlefield just before I am passed the turn. That would pretty sweet.

I know I have a Raid Bombardment . I’ll give it a go.

I saw on your thread the reaction to Pashalik Mons. I agree and I am definitely going to get my hands on one.

So I got to playtest and play with a few of the changes I made last night.

First thing's first: Experimental Frenzy , Ghirapur Orrery , and Gauntlet of Power out on the field together is absolutely nuts. Also had a Madblind Mountain for when I hit my third land like 8 cards down. Absolutely swimming in mana. I wasn't expecting Experimental Frenzy to perform as well as it did, even if I didn't have the Gauntlet it would still have been potent. Damping Engine resoundingly out for Mana Web . Sure, it was nice having the Engine to slow my opponents down a tad, and sac a mountain so that I could just Crucible of Worlds it right back, but I really would have preferred the Web when playing against Baral, Chief of Compliance . I took out Mycosynth Lattice , Goblin Welder , Treasure Nabber , Hellkite Tyrant , and Spine of Ish Sah , and didn't feel their presence missing at all. Shared Animosity was immediately removed by Ashen Rider

How do you feel about Chandra, Torch of Defiance ? I also really want to make a spot for Goblin Wizard but my deck is really starting to compete for spots, I don't feel like there are any dead cards 99% of the time, and I probably don't need him anyway.
