Yeah, So...In the last 24 hours, I did a bunch of work on this deck, proxied a bunch of it up, took it for a spin in front of a goldfish bowl, and I discovered I needed to make some changes.

For one, I had too many kicker spells. They are easily the weakest part of the deck, vital and important that they may be. Two, I needed some card draw. Three, well, just some other thoughts that came to me while I was working...

In:

Blood Clock - Breath of Darigaaz - Chandra's Ignition - Decimate - Keen Sense - Loxodon Warhammer - Momentous Fall - Opal Palace - Rishkar's Expertise - Sunbird's Invocation - Vigor(I want to try this, though it is the only expensive card I don't already own for the deck, it's worth more than the rest of what I don't have combined...)

Out:

Blessings of Nature(too many +1/+1 too fast makes too much of a target) - Cloudstone Curio - Gnarlid Pack - Grafted Exoskeleton(yes, it's a massive kill enabler, but also a massive kill me sign) - Grunn, the Lonely King - Horned Kavu - Increasing Savagery(see Blessings) - Skitter of Lizards - Thicket Elemental - Mountain - Forest

Kicker and Multikicker function the same way as Epoch is outlining above. See Wolfbriar Elemental or Gnarlid Pack.

Same with the additional costs in cards like Collective Defiance and Collective Brutality. You discard and choose new modes as part of the cost, before the spell and it's copied abilities enter the stack as part of the spell.

I updated the deck and the description.

I think the most important combo of this deck might be the Winter Orb + Bear Umbra + Dragon-Scarred Bear and therefore I decided to go for a 3, 4, 4 (since you really need those cards).

The second most important thing is removal after cutting the enemie's mana resources, so I decided for 3 Ulvenwald Tracker but kept 2 Predatory Urge since the Tracker needs mana, and mana can be invested better in the lategame.

I've removed the Gnarlid Pack because the lategame potential is already pretty high, looking at the ability to clear the enite battlefield from opposing creatures and being able to create tons of tokens. Because of that I think this deck also doesn't need the Wild Beastmaster.

Yeva, Nature's Herald indeed is spicy, but feels kind of a 2GG waste in my opinion, since you don't really need the flash imho - what's your opponent going to do to you? He can't cast many spells and my creatures can either fight or are bigger.

I removed Kamahl's Summons entirly, just because there needs to be space for better, threshold feeding cards like Insist.

But after all: Thank you very much for you rsuggestions, I simply don't know how I missed the Winter Orb combo.

I'll find a way to include Dragon-Scarred Bear and Gnarlid Pack.

Savage Punch is blasphemic, it hurst the bears!

Dragon-Scarred Bear could be a constant threat mid/late game after you drop a strong Caller of the Claw or a Soulbonded Druid's Familiar

Gnarlid Pack is as much a bear as Woodland Bellower and could replace your Ashcoat Bear. Loss of Flash utility for the sake of late game relevance

Many of the instants you have will not pack enough punch to make them worth the slot. You want to focus on things you can re-use. For example, Vault Skyward looks like a good combat trick, but most of the time, people will be prepared for flyers. Better is Cobbled Wings or Fleetfeather Sandals, which last more than one turn, can be re-used if the creature dies, and can be reassigned to a blocking creature after the attack. Better still is Archetype of Imagination, that makes all your creatures fly and prevents your opponents' fliers from blocking. Or you can use something like Shadow Rift or something stratight up unblockable (Whispersilk Cloak) that will be more likely to get the damage through. If you are concerned about blocking fliers, Spidersilk Armor is a good bet, and affects your whole team on a permanent basis. For Commander, you're playing 4 other people. Each card needs to pack a big punch, so cards like Blustersquall & Cyclonic Rift are better because you can also cast them for their Overload effect.

Drop: Peema Outrider, Jolt, Cerulean Wisps, Noxious Revival, Vault Skyward, Triton Tactics, Reclaim, Ornamental Courage, Aerial Formation, Aquastrand Spider, Growth Spasm, Kozilek's Predator, Nest Invader, Keeper of Progenitus, Blisterpod, Parallel Lives, Gilder Bairn (You need to have ways to tap it, and I think it's too much work for the effect), Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant, Gnarlid Pack, Coiling Oracle, Transguild Promenade, 1x Forest, Scourge of Skola Vale

Add: Cobbled Wings, Elixir of Immortality, Spidersilk Armor, Viral Drake, Quest for Renewal, Overwhelming Stampede, Rogue's Passage

It's not a final cut, but I think you'll be within 5 or so of 100. At that point, you'll really need to look at your creatures and decide which ones you really want, and which ones are maybe second string players. Once you have a list and play a little, you'll know what you're weak to (do you see a lot of mill? Do you need more graveyard recursion? More flying?), and you can adjust from there. Good luck!

I'm all for anything that lets me play Baloth Pup, he's adorable and hilarious looking. I agree with 2040364, too much flying hate. Ditch the phasing cards in favor of some creatures or something that will help your creatures live. I playtested this against my mono-black sorcery deck (Black Magic) which is very slow and I ended up staring at a board of forests and a pile of enchantments.

Consider any the following cards (in place of some of the anti-flying enchantments):

Krosan Warchief

Wirewood Savage

Garruk Wildspeaker and/or Garruk, Primal Hunter if you have them or can swing their cost.

Gnarlid Pack

Kalonian Tusker

Still though... BALOTH PUP! I love him so much.
