Decks added:

  • Callaphe, Beloved of the Sea
  • Gnarlback Rhino
  • All the other ones since the last update ^_^'

Sorry for the delay. Tappedout was being buggy with the updates so I've been waiting for it to calm down.

    Thank you for contributing everyone!

Hyzzicah, the Impulsive Grow-Mage

Legendary Creature - Kithkin Wizard

Prowess

At the beginning of combat on your turn, if you control a creature with power 5 or greater, exile the top card of your library. You may play that card until the end of the turn.

Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery that targets a creature you control, choose one:

  • Pay : You may put a +1/+1 counter on that creature.

  • Pay : That creature gains haste and trample until end of turn.

  • Pay : At the beginning of the next end step, you may return that spell from your graveyard to your hand.

We've seen cards with more text, though this one is certainly pushing the limit. I like it. It might seem a little overpowered because of its sheer number of options and (mostly offensive) flexibility, but the options all cost fixed mana, which I think really balance it out (and actually might make it a bit frustrating to play if you don't run a ton of dual lands). This would be fun to put in a deck with Feather, the Redeemed, Dreadhorde Arcanist, Gnarlback Rhino, Season of Growth, those new heroes in Theros (like Hero of the Nyxborn) etc. This makes it good for Commander for a particular type of Commander deck that doesn't have a general to rally around, while making it somewhat unreliable for Standard.

Make some Thassa flicker hate.

AjaxSlumbering I can see what you're trying to suggest, but most of your suggestions are WAY too expensive to cast in a Modern game unless I was running a half dozen mana-ramps and casting the creatures in question on turn 3 to even attempt to make them work properly. Skinshifter and Gnarlback Rhino are amazing suggestions, but as it stands now, the deck is a bit too devotion focused to be.

From what I see, you should add a few more beat sticks with evasion (i.e. trample). I suggest Elderscale Wurm , Gnarlback Rhino , Plated Crusher , Skinshifter , or Terra Stomper . Hope this helps!

Cool Deck! I really like the synergy with Gnarlback Rhino and Growth Cycle . Have you put any thought into Nissa, Who Shakes the World ? She might help cast huge Hydras in the late game.

It may not make the cut for budget, but maybe it can help!

I'm working on a similar concept (I splash black, but then you have to pay for the mana base). For yours, after playtesting, I 100% wished that the Arboreal Grazer were Llanowar Elves every time, so I recommend swapping +2 for -2 to get 4 elves in there. The Voracious Hydra is one of the most powerful cards in your deck, I would recommend +2. My initial build had a bunch of Gargos, Vicious Watcher also, and I found that he was hard to play along side the rest of the deck, so I would -2 him for the other hydra. It was very rare that I ever got to keep a Gargos out long enough to draw into a Voracious. Usually I already played the Voracious, or they kill the Gargos before I can play with it or draw a Voracious.

I really like the Untamed Kavu and Gnarlback Rhino . I overlooked both of those cards in my builds but they played strong.

I would consider Bounty of Might as a 1 or 2 of. It provides three separate triggers to your rhino and for your Season of Growth . The deck's problem is that it runs out of steam fairly quickly, a normal green problem. You need late game items to get back into it. Perhaps +2, and -1 Gargos, -1 Giant Growth.

Good luck, I love the way the concept is moving. If interested, I can give you my black options for the deck which smooth out the curve and add a lot of durability. I ran yours against mine and mine won 2/1 for whatever that is worth.
