Glorious Sunrise

Enchantment

At the beginning of combat on your turn, choose one —

  • Creatures you control get +1/+1 and gain trample until end of turn.
  • Target land gains ": Add " until end of turn.
  • Draw a card if you control a creature with power 3 or greater.
  • you gain 3 life.

plakjekaas on Should Green's Lifegain Rely Upon …

Green is literally the color of life in MtG, I'm not sure why lifegain would need to be tied to a card type for the color. Every type has lifegain in green:

Nissa, Nature's Artisan

Arborback Stomper

The Great Henge

Glorious Sunrise

Feed the Clan

Hunters' Feast

Gingerbread Cabin

amarthaler the reason I don't use the things that give my creatures trample is because it would nullify Ruxa's ability. My plan is to assign all damage to the players and not the chump blockers. I'm look at some upgrades to this deck as well and I like the idea of Glorious Sunrise and some sort of totem armor for Ruxa.

Great deck - I love the fact the Commander is not Ayula and the theme is interesting. I've saved it in a folder and may build a similar one in the future!

I don't have any suggestions really, you have a good deck list going. Some staples I may consider putting in my own build:

There's nothing worse than having an army of creatures in tribal decks and they all get chump blocked!

Update!

Out: 20 total cards! 1. Time of Ice, 2. Muldrotha, the Gravetide, 3. Iceberg Cancrix, 4. The Tarrasque, 5. Time of Ice, 6. Emergent Ultimatum, 7. Glittering Frost, 8. Boreal Outrider, 9. Faceless Haven, 10. Shimmerdrift Vale, 11. Avalanche Caller, 12. Frostwalk Bastion, 13. Coldsteel Heart, 14. Fabled Passage, 15. Opulent Palace, 16. Tropical Island, 17. Underground Sea, 18. Bayou, 19. Birds of Paradise, 20. Village Rites

In: 20 total cards! 1. Primal Rage, 2. Winged Boots, 3. Darksteel Plate, 4. Panglacial Wurm, 5. Sundial of the Infinite, 6. Diabolic Vision, 7. Inventors' Fair, 8. Thespian's Stage, 9. Boreal Centaur, 10. Hailstorm Valkyrie, 11. Druid Class, 12. Expedition Map, 13. Thing in the Ice  Flip, 14. Glorious Sunrise, and 2x Snow Forest, 3x Snow Island, 1x Snow Swamp

With this new design, we're looking to keep Jorn alive longer and deal more damage. There's also more ways to summon Marit Lage and pump up snow creatures. The mana base is smoothed out with more snow lands, and more card draw / ramp cards. Let me know what you think of the new brew!

VampyLOL on Catti-Brie is kinda fun

Removing
Mirror Entity Not ideal for this deck
Emeria Shepherd Not sure this recursion is worth it here
Aura Shards Not enough creatures come out for it to help much
Glorious Sunrise Might try this one later but for now I want trample through equipment
Heavenly Blademaster Was put in as a backup plan but expensive to bring out

Adding
Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist Equip for free!
Sigarda's Aid Equip for free (and instantly)!
Basilisk Collar Who doesn't like cheap Deathtouch and Lifelink?
Belt of Giant Strength This could give a quick +8/+8 to Catti-brie of Mithral Hall
Bloodforged Battle-Axe Cheap to cast and equip, and makes copies for more equip counters

Okay comments after yesterday! I would still cut: Glorious Sunrise and Early Harvest as I don't see a ton of value in them here.

Good adds could be: Worldspine Wurm Hammer of Nazahn Treeshaker Chimera World Breaker Nylea, God of the Hunt

multimedia on Dino Deck

You're welcome, nice changes. Now think more about the curve of your deck and build a core of cards that you always want to draw in a game. Here's an example:

  • 4x ramp source (Huntmaster)
  • 4x draw source (Commune)
  • 4x removal (Lightning Bolt or Lightning Strike)
  • 4x Dino (Quartzwood)
  • 4x Dino (Shifting)
  • 4x Gruul dual land
  • 4x Gruul dual land
  • 12 basic lands (Forests and Mountains)

Once you have the core then add other support cards that are 3 ofs, 2 ofs or 1 ofs.

What noncreature card out of ten 2 ofs do you think is best to play as a 4 of?

Consider choosing one of these or more to cut or cut 1x of two different ones to add 2x more of one of these? Fury Charm pump + trample is worse than Dinosaur Stampede and the other modes of Fury are not really worth a card. Tempt with Discovery is worse ramp than Gruul Signet or Overgrowth because Tempt is not reliable ramp and it costs four mana. Return to Nature is not really a main deck card because opponent may not be playing artifacts, enchantments or any graveyard interaction. Return is a good example of a sideboard card that you can swap in games 2 or 3 if it will help you since you know what your opponent is playing.
