Green is literally the color of life in MtG, I'm not sure why lifegain would need to be tied to a card type for the color. Every type has lifegain in green:

amarthaler the reason I don't use the things that give my creatures trample is because it would nullify Ruxa's ability. My plan is to assign all damage to the players and not the chump blockers. I'm look at some upgrades to this deck as well and I like the idea of Glorious Sunrise and some sort of totem armor for Ruxa.

Great deck - I love the fact the Commander is not Ayula and the theme is interesting. I've saved it in a folder and may build a similar one in the future!
I don't have any suggestions really, you have a good deck list going. Some staples I may consider putting in my own build:
- Glorious Sunrise - utility
- Treefolk Umbra - protect Ruxa
- Glaring Spotlight - finisher
There's nothing worse than having an army of creatures in tribal decks and they all get chump blocked!

- Overwhelming Encounter - trample

With this new design, we're looking to keep Jorn alive longer and deal more damage. There's also more ways to summon Marit Lage and pump up snow creatures. The mana base is smoothed out with more snow lands, and more card draw / ramp cards. Let me know what you think of the new brew!

Your ramp is good but if you change you land base a little it could be better with Three Visits, Nature's Lore, Crop Rotation

War Room and Bonders' Enclave will draw on a land
One thing I would recommend is not mixing green ramp and white catchup ramp. The white ones just get hosed. You could fix this by running lots of ways to change the amount of lands you control. Strip Mine, Wasteland, Dust Bowl, Selesnya Sanctuary

Okay comments after yesterday! I would still cut: Glorious Sunrise and Early Harvest as I don't see a ton of value in them here.

You're welcome, nice changes. Now think more about the curve of your deck and build a core of cards that you always want to draw in a game. Here's an example:
- 4x ramp source (Huntmaster)
- 4x draw source (Commune)
- 4x removal (Lightning Bolt or Lightning Strike)
- 4x Dino (Quartzwood)
- 4x Dino (Shifting)
- 4x Gruul dual land
- 4x Gruul dual land
- 12 basic lands (Forests and Mountains)
Once you have the core then add other support cards that are 3 ofs, 2 ofs or 1 ofs.
What noncreature card out of ten 2 ofs do you think is best to play as a 4 of?
- 2x Gruul Signet
- 2x Commune with Dinosaurs
- 2x Dinosaur Stampede
- 2x Evolution Charm
- 2x Fury Charm
- 2x Return to Nature
- 2x Glorious Sunrise
- 2x Overgrowth
- 2x Wilderness Reclamation
- 2x Tempt with Discovery
Consider choosing one of these or more to cut or cut 1x of two different ones to add 2x more of one of these? Fury Charm pump + trample is worse than Dinosaur Stampede and the other modes of Fury are not really worth a card. Tempt with Discovery is worse ramp than Gruul Signet or Overgrowth because Tempt is not reliable ramp and it costs four mana. Return to Nature is not really a main deck card because opponent may not be playing artifacts, enchantments or any graveyard interaction. Return is a good example of a sideboard card that you can swap in games 2 or 3 if it will help you since you know what your opponent is playing.
