When Giant's Amulet enters the battlefield, you may pay . If you do, create a 4/4 blue Giant Wizard creature token, then attach Giant's Amulet to it.

Equipped creature gets +0/+1 and has "This creature has hexproof as long as it's untapped." (It can't be the target of spells or abilities your opponents control.)

seshiro_of_the_orochi it is really fun, but it does get targeted out pretty regularly. Yeah I'm in the process of replacing lightning Greaves, Belt of Giant Strength and probably Sword of Hearth and Home because they don't synergize well with the deck. I used to run Giant's Amulet but all the protection makes the colored equipment much worse. Mask off avacyn is probably a better fit for this deck over Greaves for sure.

Yeah, those rocks set me back so so much, they were originally in a Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain deck, but that deck was so unfun to play against that I had to power it down and all those rocks needed a new home. And I do have a sensei's Divining Top in the list already, it's great for setting up the top of the library for Galea

I have a Mizzix deck of my own, (though my tapped out version is likely outdated), so I can share my insights. I also avoided storm for mine as well.

First off, your mana production likely needs to be higher. 4 rocks and some rituals won't cut it, especially with so few lands. People looove removing Mizzix, and having more mana to recast her is vital. If you like spells that give mana, consider Brass's Bounty or Spell Swindle

Second, is there a reason you have so many things to give instant speed? Leyline of anticipation, quicken, vedalken orrery. Why are these necessary? Blue/red has plenty of instant speed interaction without needing to speed up sorceries.

Third, your wipes. You have three and Mizzix dies to all of them. Consider effects that will not force you to recast your commander. Curse of the swine is nice, and but there are other options.

Lastly, some random card choices I don't follow. Foil, Counterflux, and Guilded Drake all seem sort of suspect. The first two make Mizzix's ability irrelevant, and the third plays into your minor "theft" subtheme, but frankly is just a random card to include. Better counterspells are ones that take advantage of Mizzix's abilities, such as Syncopate and Power Sink. I know 1 mana spells are efficient, but after you get 1 experience counter, those ponder, Brainstorm, and preordains are gonna feel way worse.

P.S., for protection, I recommend things that give hexproof/ shroud, such as Lightning Greaves or Giant's Amulet. On the spell side, Dive Down, or Blink effects like Teferi's Time Twist usually serve me best

Capture Sphere is the only answer to on-board threats. I would be hesitant to remove any of them. Cutting out Adventurous Impulse for Into the Story makes sense, and gets the same number of cards for the mana if I wait for the graveyard to fill up (also guaranteed to get cards).

I did some matches replacing Giant's Amulet and I was still able to win a decent number of games. I'll try swapping those back in for the Adventurous Impulse and see how it goes.

dpolatchek01 Adding cards is less an issue of "what would be great to go with this theme?" and more "What would I remove?" I don't plan on making this deck larger than 60 cards (already tried, and it made getting the crabs harder as expected). I did play with Teferi's Tutelage for a little while, but then it turns the deck into a card-draw deck, and I don't want to be discarding if I can avoid it; every card is useful.

Into the Story appears to be a good option as there are times when I've used all cards in hand, and am just top-decking. Though again, what would I remove to make room for this card? My first thought would be Giant's Amulet as that was a recent addition to try to protect my crabs when I've run out of mana.

might i recommend Taigam, Ojutai Master and Giant's Amulet the former because its just useful to make them uncounterable since even with golos they get cast albeit for free and the later cause you won't be tapping golos so you might as well put that to use.
