I have a few suggestions:

  1. Perhaps Faerie Mastermind for more card draw/turn on Spellstutter Sprite?

  2. Faerie Fencing as a two replacement for Peppersmoke. By all means keep one Peppersmoke in the mainboard.

  3. I recommend 2xQuickling over Faerie Impostor, simply for the flash.

  4. You have lots of creatures, any thought of running Obyra, Dreaming Duelist or Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor in here?

  5. If you need some more support you could run Spell Stutter for some counter magic.

  6. Finally, since you are running Bitterblossom, have you considered running Rankle, Master of Pranks or Picklock Prankster?

Faerie Duelist wouldn't be a bad sideboard option against aggressive decks either.

Draining Whelk and Hypnotic Sprite become reusable counter spells. They have flying so you can usually Ninjitsu off of them. Faerie Duelist is useful.

If you run out of Ninjas Feldon's Cane or something to refill your library could help.

Higure could do some serious commander damage with Octopus Umbra

While I hate playing against counter-heavy decks, and probably shouldn't help them improve, I do have some ways to (hopefully) make the deck better:

  • If you're going to play any of the eternal formats, I think Ice-Fang Coatl over Ambush Viper and play snow lands is better, if you want an instant-speed deathtoucher.

  • As is, you're running too few lands, given the amount of 4-drops. Also, I'd play some amount of Rewind, as it lets you counter a spell AND play a threat on turn 4+.

  • Brazen Borrower is probably the best interaction this deck has access to and it's definitely a stronger card than Faerie Duelist. Unless you're going for a budget deck.

  • From my experience, Brineborn Cutthroat is better than Wildborn Preserver. You're not always sitting on mana to pump the Preserver and they get worse in multiples. Cutthroat doesn't.

  • Sea-Dasher Octopus could be nice in some amount, as it can start drawing extra cards as soon as turn 2 off of a turn 1 Spectral Sailor.

  • Titanic Growth is underwhelming in flash decks. They just need to tempo out the opponent, which is best done with value creatures and bounce and/or counter spells.

  • Frilled Mystic is a great tempo play. If you up the land count, you should play all 4.

Hope that helps. Good luck with the deck!

JibberJabah Thanks for giving the deck a look! Let me go over your suggestions:

  • I think you're 100% correct with lands. 21 seems much more reasonable.

  • Cutting black is definitely a good idea. I'll lose the spot removal, but hopefully bouncing creatures will be enough to keep the board clear. It seems like it will be.

  • I might keep artful dodge in the sideboard for those matches where flying is easier for the opponent to deal with, just to have some options. But Yeah taking out the black will free up more spots for 4x Smoke Shroud.

  • The Faeries are interesting. I worry that miscreant might not always trigger which isn't the worst thing, but I think I would rather use something like Faerie Seer because you always get the ETB and it relates back to your next point about the cantrips. Faerie Duelist might also be good in that slot, but I'd rather have the 1 drop for now I think. Spellstutter Sprite is always going to be a strong inclusion for sure.

  • Yes! I might look around for some other cantrips, since it looks like i'll be adding the seer, but draw will be a welcome addition.

Thanks for taking the time to comment! I think its definitely going to make the deck better.

I would recommend few options here. First of all, I would suggest Spectral Sailor over Faerie Duelist as it is cheaper and more effective (draws cards) flyer. Also I suggest to cut Riptide Turtle and Omen of the Dead for 2 copies of Lochmere Serpent because as I see your deck is more about aggro, 1 more copy of Brineborn Cutthroat, and more counterspells. Just one word about each suggested card: Lochmere Serpent - a wonderful finisher which becomes unblockable for just 1 mana and could be returned from graveyard to hand for only 2 mana! This abilities helped me to win when I was playing some similar deck. Brineborn Cutthroat is actually the key card in the deck as it will grow very fast in this deck.

It seems there are many cards in here that just don't do much, as well as there being naught in terms of basic essentials for a commander deck.

As for creatures:

Dewdrop Spy , Dream Thief , Faerie Duelist , Faerie Seer , Final-Sting Faerie , Hypnotic Sprite , Latchkey Faerie , Nightshade Schemers , Pestermite , Shinechaser , Surveilling Sprite , Thornwind Faeries , Wasp Lancer , and Wizened Snitches . None of these seem to stand out. They have lacking effects that don't bolster power level, but rather drag it down. Cards in other supertypes seem to fall under the same category.

Faerie Tauntings , Stolen by the Fae , Dimir Locket , Violet Pall and Dimir Locket all seem incongruous and lacking. Brainstorm is best when shuffling effects can launder away cards if need be. This deck has only two tutors. Stolen by the Fae is restrictive and minute in impact, as well as a sorcery. Violet Pall seems far too expensive for what it does.

For what I believe should be added, card draw, ramp, and threats.

Windreader Sphinx , Coastal Piracy , and Bident of Thassa are able to draw a considerable amount over the course of a match. Phyrexian Arena , Underworld Connections , and Consecrated Sphinx oft daggle me through the game rather easily.

Sol Ring , Smothering Tithe , Talisman of Progress , Talisman of Hierarchy , Azorius Signet , Dimir Signet , Orzhov Signet , and Mind Stone all carry their weight and herald efficiency.

For wraths, I find that two or three do the job well, and Rout or Cyclonic Rift seem to fit the plan of this deck well.

Dovin, Grand Arbiter could be a spicy option, and Unfulfilled Desires is a favourite of mine.

Good fortune to you, my liege. May all lout in your wake.

Sorin_Markov_1947 unfortunately I have a Macbook and I can’t play Arena until 2020, the only tests I can have are by playing the deck at my LGS every friday/saturday, however this week the deck performed very well, I got a third place with a 3-1 record, unfortunately lost to a BG Adventures because I got stuck on the lands. Faerie Duelist seems a nice option, I’ll keep it in my mind, thanks for the suggestion.

Have you considered Faerie Duelist as a combat trick (and possible way to face damage)?

I love the Simic flash archetype, and I think this is an interesting twist. Be fun to see how your record progresses on Arena!
